Take gander at the political cartoon here, What Can We Expect From The New Congress? The object of the cartoon is to deride the new Republican majority in Congress. Supposedly, because they are going to spend lots of time investigating the Biden administration, this Congress will be a do-nothing Congress. Ironically, the cartoonist makes this attack using the Hunter Biden laptop story, and he makes it after Democrat led Congresses endlessly investigated President Trump and continued to investigate Trump even after he had left office, and found nothing.
Democrats impeached Trump twice, but the charges were blatant nonsense. Trump crime? He was not a Democrat. He did not give them what they wanted, other people’s money.
So, what about that Hunter Biden laptop story? The Liberal Democrat news media has buried the story, refused to investigate it for years. However, now that Republicans can hold hearings CBS has finally noticed, Copy of Hunter Biden laptop data appears genuine, independent experts find. Think about that. This story has been out there for years.
It only took them 769 days.
CBS News said Monday that it confirmed the authenticity of data from Hunter Biden’s former laptop — more than two years after The Post first revealed its contents — as the first son’s lawyer complained he didn’t “consent” to the release.
The laptop links President Biden to his son Hunter and brother Jim Biden’s foreign influence-peddling, but high-ranking former spy agency officials claimed before the 2020 election it was likely Russian disinformation and the story was censored by Twitter and Facebook.
Most news outlets ignored the laptop’s contents until recently. CBS’s report follows belated verification of the laptop in March by the Washington Post and New York Times.
CBS correspondent Catherine Herridge reported that she received a copy of Hunter Biden’s hard drive from former Delaware computer repairman John Paul Mac Isaac, and that Minnesota computer scientists led by former Secret Service computer crimes expert Mark Lanterman said the files appeared legitimate.

What should we expect from the new Republican led Congress?
- Because Democrats still hold the Senate and the Executive branch, Republicans cannot pass any legislation opposed by Democrats. However, they can effectively stop any legislation Republicans don’t like, and that is a very good thing. We cannot for a certainty know the motives of the people in the Biden administration, but they have done so much damage it is difficult to believe they are not doing that damage deliberately. But perhaps they are just too greedy to restrain themselves. Thieves do tend to leave messes behind themselves.
- Republicans can help to reveal and publicize the ineptitude and malfeasance of the Biden administration. Since the Liberal Democrat news media has been protecting the Biden administration by hiding its incompetence, fraud, waste, and abuse, that too would be a very good thing. In 2024, we need to throw Democrats out of public office, but voters won’t do it if they don’t know which party owns primary responsibility for the mess. Democrats, even though they were in the majority and primarily responsible for wreaking havoc both on our economy and upon our democratic processes, had an enormous amount of help — propaganda support — from the so-called mainstream news media blame shifting from themselves to Republicans. That demonstrated once again the danger of ignorant and misinformed voters.
