Since Silence of Mind has a bit of a problem displaying the comments on his blog, I figured I would post a couple of comments here before they become difficult to read. Where are these comments posted? On Why Atheism Is So Deadly.
Atheism is the belief that everything just happened all by itself. Such belief is self evidently stupid especially in view of modern science. Cause and effect are the very foundation of modern science. Something caused the universe to come into being. That something was called the First Cause, by ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. That First Cause from which sprang reality is God, by definition.
Thus, atheism is deadly because it is superstitious. By reason we know that everything has a cause. By reason we know that God is the First Cause of reality. Atheist superstition harkens back to genocidal barbarians like the the Canaanite tribe, the Philistines.

Silence of Mind‘s post is actually quite interesting. Of course, he will infuriate some Atheists. So, if you want to read the comments, I suggest following his blog and using the “Conversations” feature in the WordPress application to read the comments.

Unsurprisingly, the chiristian finds he must lie. Atheism is the lack of belief in a god or gods. That’s all it is, and our poor SOM is an atheist too.
hmmm, everything has a cause? ah, but the christian must claim his god, one of many, does not. He cannot show that this god exists at all. Reason doesn’t say that SOM’s god exists.

ROFL. Oh dear. Alas, the Canaanites, which include the Israelites, were theists. The only claims of genocide in these areas are by Israelites about their god committing and commanding genocide in the christian bible. Happily, those are lies too and there is no evidence of this at all.
Alas, poor SOM can’t show atheism causing genocide. His examples show that megalomania is what causes it in the cases of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc. Those are men who thought they were a god, including Hitler.
SOM is such a great example of psychological projection. He also shows that christianity does not make one moral, since he finds he must lie about other people, exactly like his god supposedly says not to do. Alas, christians like SOM, always forget Romans 3.

I am a bit more reluctant to call Atheists liars than SOM. I just settle for calling Atheists wrong. Moreover, I won’t say I never lie. That would be a lie, but I try to avoid even the appearance of lying by using self-evident logic and facts.

Consider that we are prideful creatures, and your pride in yourself is quite evident. Consider also that Atheists are materialists, that is, Atheists worship stuff, sex, science, state, and self. The worship of self is where Atheism ultimately leads. Megalomania is the worship of self in its advanced stages.
Were the old Pagans Atheists? As a practical matter? Yes. The God of the Bible is not a God we can bribe with sacrifices. He is not one god among many gods. His is the One true God who created everything, and He is completely sovereign over everything. The gods of the Pagans were just human beings with super powers.
The gods of the ancient Pagans served the Pagans the way science serves today’s Atheist. Those gods excused their consciences the way the phony science of Atheists excuses their consciences.
Want an abortion? Call it scientific. Want the government to pay for your sex change? Call it scientific. Want to force everyone to buy electric cars or use mass transit? Call it scientific.
Want to deprive others of their right to their own beliefs? Call your political opponents enemies of the state and scientifically unfit and ignorant. Then take their children from them, stick them in concentration camps, and work them to death. Just copy the Chinese Communists that the Prime Minister of Canada admires so much.

What about the title of Silence of Mind‘s post? Why Atheism Is So Deadly? Silence of Mind‘s post is good, but read Romans 1:18-32. Then think about so many people are behaving today and pray for your children. Pray that our Lord gives you both the wisdom and the power of the Holy Spirit so that you can protect them. Pray that your children — all our children — turn to our Lord, return His love, and put their faith in Him.

Why would you refuse to allow the definition of atheism to be changed, when you have no idea what atheism even is? The old definition allows you to have a particular vision of an atheist, when no such vision exists in actuality. Atheism is not a group thing, each atheist is an individual, with individual reasons for being an atheist. When you try to lump sonething together that cannot be lumped together, all you get is a congealed mind. You are stuck in a past that no longer exists. Everything changes, that is the way of life. What does not change will eventually die out, and that includes religion — any religion, all religions — because they do not change with the times.
As for your statement that all atheists believe in is stuff, you have never met me. I believe in one thing, and one thing alone. I believe in life, because without life there is nothing — including religion, including God!
I don’t think you understand how words work.
Consider the word “chair”. Every chair is unique. Some chairs are folding chairs. Others are rocking chairs. We have table chairs and lounge chairs. We even have electric chairs. God is the Creator. He created life. Because you believe in life, without life, God cannot exist? You say the words, but do you actually know what you are saying?
Be who you are. I will be who I am. I’ll talk about atheism. You talk about theism. Never the twain shall meet.
You have your freedom to speak about and write about what you want. I have mine. If you don’t want to talk about theism, then don’t.

Since we have already established that you don’t know how to use words very well, I doubt you understand the meaning of the word “lie”. Shrug! I can’t imagine your credibility amounts to hill of beans, but feel free to challenge my “lies” to your heart’s content. Just keep a civil tongue in your head. Of course, you may wish to look up what it means to have a civil tongue in your head, and you may also wish to use the traditional definition and not make up one of your own.
I gave you a chance to learn, but you either refused it or ignored it. You are happily ignorant of today’s world, insisting on maintaining a status quo that became obsolete years ago. Good for you. I wish you all the best in your safe little world. It probably won’t stay little for long.

For my part I will allow you to declare victory and to retreat in good order. I know it is not much, but it is the best I can do.
