I am sort of surprised when a blog doesn’t have a reblog button, but the spammers abuse that too.
Anyway, I thought this post, Live Better and More Free, very interesting,

I hear the British are complaining about the heat, claiming that 104 degrees is too hot for even an Englishman to go out in the hot sun (no word if mad dogs agree). Well, it is warm but a guy by the name of Willis Haviland Carrier solved that back on 17 July 1907.

NEO goes on to talk a lot about air conditioning. If you are history buff, you will enjoy that. However, if you are into the application of political theory, you will enjoy this post too. For example:
If you hadn’t figured it out, that is one reason (there are no doubt others) why the Democrats hate the repeal of Roe. Because it is now a state issue, and few of the American people agree with killing a baby during the mother’s labor, they now have to subvert 50 legislatures instead of 5 men.
That is one of the features of federalism, as written into our constitution that the Regressives have been trying to ignore since the turn of the 20th century. It is, in fact, why the 10th Amendment is both so important and so ignored. In reserving power to the states or the people, it takes those illicit powers away from the US government.
Sometimes we call the states ‘laboratories of liberty’ and we are correct. Is California correct or Florida? New York or Texas?

Think about that? Is it not better that Democrat have to subvert 50 state legislatures instead of just five men.
Tom,
If the USA continues on the present path to switch from gas to EV vehicles without a long-range plan to secure the electrical grids, we may one day be either hacked or incur blackouts when more vehicles become reliant on battery’s to be recharged instead of the versatile of gas-powered engines.
Sounds of persons complaining about high gas prices we are now hearing will be mere murmurs in comparison to the shouting we will hear not having any power for useless EV.
Regards and goodwill blogging.
@scatterwisdom
The people pushing EVs don’t intend for any except the rich to use them. Those who survive their degrowth economic policies will use whatever is left of public transportation.
Reblogged this on boudica.us.
Thanks again.
It’s a bit chilly for July here where I live. My latest annoyance is actually people watching the news about the heat wave in Europe, so rather then simply looking outside, they crank up the air conditioning. I kid you not it was 67 degrees yesterday and about 42 inside every building while people fan themselves in a panic, I happen to be freezing and must put on a coat to go into the grocery store.
How do you know you’re not yet living in a socialist country? The air conditioning still works.
😆
More power to the state is definitely better.
I also like “Live Better Electrically”.
Electricity and household appliances have done more for women than all the feminists of all times combined.
When I was a boy my mother had to wash all the laundry by hand.
This took a lot of time. It was tedious and it was definitely not healthy.
The electric washing machine, the electric dishwasher, the electric iron and the electric stove gave women an unprecedented degree of freedom, free time, health and qualiy of life.
Ironically, those who call themselves progressives and who pretend to care about women are the same ones who want to destroy all this progress on the altar of the climate change religion.
Satan hates women, but that serpent pretended to care about Eve, and Adam just listened, being just as gullible as Eve.
