BECAUSE THE SELF-STYLED TOLERANT ARE NOT WHAT THEY CLAIM TO BE

The Pluralist Oppression humorously makes the point that all the talk about tolerance is largely virtue signaling.

“John, you jerk! We’re living in a pluralistic society! That means you must tolerate everyone else’s views and opinions!”

I’m probably more tolerant than you. Right now, at this very moment, I am tolerating your view that there is such a thing as a ‘pluralistic society.’ I’m peacefully coexisting with you despite your ignorant understanding of reality. We are polar opposites in our views, yet I’m not calling for you to be canceled, punished, ostracized, or executed. You ought to nominate me for a plaque in the ‘Tolerance Hall of Fame!’

You’re not happy about my tone but that’s too bad. Arrogant jerks like me are just as much a part of society as clueless simpletons like you. Your sincere belief that everybody’s opinion is worthy of respect means you must accommodate my smug mockery of that silly belief. Tolerance is for everyone.

The Democratic Party makes a big, booming stink about tolerance, angrily accusing those who disagree of racism, sexism, despicable bigotry, class prejudice, various phobias, and, of course, that hideous thought crime, INTOLERANCE.

In their relentless battle in support of their sacred virtue, tolerance, the members of the Democratic Party have revealed humongous ignorance.

• Democrats constantly call for bigger and bigger government to enforce tolerance, but government enforces conformity, not tolerance. When government enforces endless laws and rules, that inevitably eliminates diversity. Hence, the obvious conclusion is that when Democrats call for us to tolerate diversity, they are hypocrites.
• Democrats either do not know or care about the difference between tolerance and forbearance. We tolerate things like cold and hot weather, things that actually pose difficulties. We forbear, for the sake of societal peace to hold ourselves back from, from complaining about and being provoked by the fact we have a right to have different opinions about morality. Too many Democrats don’t respect the rights of others to uphold different moral beliefs, that is, different religious beliefs that lead to different moral beliefs. That is why Democrat find themselves in the nonsensical position of trying to force everyone to adopt their own secularized moral beliefs in the name of upholding what they define as diversity. That is why, even as Democrats advocate affirmative action, protect so-called LGBTQ rights, and turn endless privileges into legal rights; Democrats make little effort to protect our most important natual rights, including the freedom follow the dictates of our individual consciences and pursue our own religious beliefs.
