I wonder how long this will stay online.
The Washington Times has an article on the video above.
A slide presentation this summer instructed social studies teachers in Fairfax County Public Schools that “critical race theory is a frame” for their work, even though officials in Virginia’s largest school system say the pedagogy is not a part of the curriculum.
The slide presentation, titled “Renew, Reflect, Re-imagine: Enacting a Critical Lens for Student Empowerment,” was presented via Zoom in August during an in-service day for K-12 social studies teachers in Fairfax County. The presentation is available on YouTube, and The Washington Times has received a digital copy of it.
In the 2-hour, 45-minutepresentation, critical race theory is listed as one of the “community engagement and communications” tools teachers should understand in the upcoming school year. Alicia Hunter, the K-12 social studies coordinator for Fairfax County Public Schools, leads…

Tom.
I saw a news opinion on TV discuss the issue of CRT is not ‘age appropriate” and was supposedly interned to be taught only in college level students.
I never read all the pros or cons but believe the USA has enough race problems that can be better solved if children are taught to “do unto others as you want done unto themselves” which is not a theory but a proven Christian teaching that works.
Teaching some innocent kid when he is at an impressionable or most vulnerable age that because of his skin color he should be ashamed of what happen in past generations and cultures makes him or her complicate is same as spreading gossip to accuse an innocent person guilty of a crime, in my opinion.
Or in other words, same as the opposite of teaching a dark-skinned child that because of his skin color, he was born guilty to be a slave was folly in the past, remains a folly in our contemporary times and in future generations.

@Scatterwisdom
Age has something to do with it. I think. As we grow older, most of us gain wisdom. Experience humbles most people. Our failures humble us and force us to consider the possibility we don’t know everything.
Some, most of us I fear, never outgrow our haughty pride. We learn to disguise it, perhaps even from ourselves..
Consider that the people promoting CRT also promote Socialism. They think they can make something work that has never worked. They don’t respect the Constitution or the experiences of past generations. In fact, they judge past generations by today’s standards, and so they look down down their noses at our forebears, when we should be grateful to them.
As that proverb says,
When we are too proud to learn from others — when we don’t think the lessons of history meaningful for us — we are headed for disaster.
Tom,
Agree, and since you included a wisdom proverb. I believe even wise King Solomon would agree
