Why are some people, especially offended by the slogan “America First!” Well, they were excuses.

Nevertheless, all Donald Trump meant by America First is that as our president he would represent America’s interests first, President Donald Trump’s Economic Plans and Policies (thebalance.com). So, why were some people, especially some politicians, so upset when President Donald Trump put America’s interests first? Apparently, they think their interests come before America’s interests. That is, their slogan seems to be “ME FIRST!”

Tom, I am fairly confident that although President Trump was a loud mouth and often braggadocious individual, he made it clear time and again the his “America First” policies meant like you stated that he would put American national interests above that of other countries. Even if you dislike the man’s ways, and many did. one only needs look at the revised NAFTA, the removal of the US from the global climate fiasco (Paris Agreement) and the like to legitimately conclude this.
The issue become for the democrats that “America First” created jobs, stimulated the economy, patriotism and more. This kills the leftist agenda and the need for government dependency.

No, no, no, no. Here’s to the greater point to your post here, Tom. How do YOU nor anyone else on this planet, actually know what Trump meant by ‘America First”? The man is a narcissistic, self-serving, authoritarian and “America First” means whatever he wanted it to mean. It’s pure populism. Words matter and among the many considerations one makes for a slogan is how it might affect all areas of governance. That slogan itself does NOT take America’s interests to heart. “America First” was created to attack Liberals.. thereby furthering the divide. It implied that Liberals somehow do not conduct government in considering the moral attitude of America first. It was NOT a unifying statement… but rather a political “war chant”. Secondly, “America First” was putting the world.. our friends as well as our enemies, on notice. Why was that even necessary?
At least “Build Back Better” was a unification call on our pandemic economic recovery… whether he’s successful or not.

Trump actually spent some time on the campaign stump explaining what he meant by America First! Then he governed as he said he would.
When he was campaigning from his basement, Biden and his news media allies pretended he was some kind of moderate. Unfortunately, everything he has done since he became our president has been a gift to America’s enemies.
“America First”.. when utilized in context with “Make America Great Again”.. which is exactly what those slogans do as both represent Trump and his supporters, is purely all about white identity politics. It’s the idea that making America great… again… is a desire to return to some past where white people were more dominant, and realizing the threat of progressing into a minority in the short years to come. Of course “America First” is divisive.

The anthem and the flag, like any other symbol, can be “made” into an icon of divisive politics.. of course. In fact, it’s the Conservative, Right Wing, that assigns only their ideology as being “patriotic” and everyone else who doesn’t subscribe to the ideology is simply other than patriotic… in fact, the list is there, Communists, Socialist, Marxist, blah, blah. I see it daily here in my home town… Trump people driving down the road with some over-sized American flag flaying from the rear tailgate. How do I know they are Trump people? Over-display of flag imagery, patches, stickers, etc. etc. We have a collection of those trucks that assemble at the occasional roadside display of Trump paraphernalia. I am sickened that Trump people have hijacked our national symbols for their political assignment of their “patriotism” that separates them from other Americans.
Like that recent nonsense about saying the pledge to one of the flags that flew in the insurrection…. and somehow revering it because it was part of the insurrection. Sickens the patriotism within me.

It really would not be hard to find examples of news media and Biden lies. I have already documented a considerable number on my blogs. Many of them are lies they told about President Trump. Do you still believe in that charge that Trump colluded with the Russians? How about the stupid things they impeached him for?

The Democratic Party has been spouting racist crap and stoking racial divisions all throughout our nation’s history. They started the Civil War so they could own people, and the people who lead that party have not changed. They are still the Me First! party. However, instead of owning blacks, they now own their votes and abort their babies. In time, they apparent intend to replace the black vote with illegal immigrants. Why? I guess they like the fact they work for little and they think they can be more easily bought, but I don’t really know. I just know they hate blacks. No one would do what they have done to blacks if they did not hate them.
Anyway, during the 1960’s, we experience this revolution. Except for the civil rights reforms that ended the Jim Crow (created by Democrats), nothing much good came of it. Unfortunately, instead of celebrating, Democrats created the welfare state, and they worked with the greatest devotion to make blacks wards of the state and to abort their babies (because they care so much for the children, of course).

Their proof was far more believable than your “proof”. The impeachment was a process, the charges and accusations were valid… and the whole thing was dismissed by a dominant vote.. NOT any presentation of evidence at all to the contrary.
Yep.. I believe in all that because of all the compelling witnesses and evidence. All you ever did was use “the other” nonsense comparisons. “You accusing Trump? What about Biden and the Ukrainians?” blah-blah. The Senate cowards simply voted him out of impeachment. They proved nothing.

Logic doesn’t work that way. Sometimes a defendant can prove his innocence with an allibi, for example. However, because proving a negative is difficult, the burden of proof is on the accuser. So, Trump did not have to prove anything.
Nevertheless, there is plenty of proof that Democrats fabricated the “evidence” of Russian collusion. Trump released the tape of that Ukrainian phone call, and I listened to his speech on January 6. I did not know I was being urged to violence. In fact, that fact seems to have escaped all the people who bothered to listen to him.
You do know that the riot start before Trump ended his speech, and it is a decent walk from where Trump spoke to the Capitol?
The fact the Capitol Police could not keep those idiots out caused Trump and his supporters more grief than the Democrats, and that was obvious from the start. We didn’t want that. We knew what the Democrats would do with it. The hypocrite news media has no trouble with “mostly peaceful” and murderous Democrat riots, but it is a heinous crime when someone protests against their favorite causes.

I agree.. some people are really too gullible. But the word is not “gullible”, it’s “vulnerable”… or biased. There’s a reason people jump to Trump and there’s a reason people don’t jump to Trump. It’s not based on gullibility. As for setting aside my pride… I’m not that emotionally insecure (yet… but after the elections, who knows.).
As for Biden.. I’ve already told you that countless times… my thing is against Trump.. not jumping for Biden. And, no… Trump has been the worst.. and his destruction of democracy Big Lie blathering is going to get people killed at both elections.

I can list all kinds of reasons why no one in his right mind would want to vote Joe Biden again.
— Fouling up Afghanistan. Virtually handing Afghanistan over to China and rabid Islamists. Leaving behind — deliberately — thousands of people we should have evacuated.
— Socialist policies that have never worked. Surging inflation. Mangled supply lines.
— Turning an energy independent nation into one once again dependent upon foreign nations we cannot trust.
— Insane social policies. Boy and men don’t belong in the ladies room, for example.
— And so forth. Biden has not been idle. He has been proudly dumb, crooked, and industrious.
And what did Trump do wrong? You never say. You just spout unending strings of nebulous nothings, libels and slanders from Democrat politicians and the so-called mainstream news media. Since you should know better than to believe those people, when I call you gullible, I am being kind. How many lies do they have to tell before you learn to doublecheck everything they write or say?
Frankly, since you carefully avoid being specific, I think you know you are being lied to. You just don’t want to give up those lies. Why? That is something only you know.
