Mel Wild has a post that shows the close relationship between Communism and Nazism. Both arose from philosophers preaching the glories of some sort of Socialism. That much i suspect has become common knowledge among serious Conservatives.
Mel’s post adds something interesting, however. Who was the “Karl Marx” of Nazism? Why is that important? Today’s totalitarians have largely adopted the ideas of this obscured Socialist philosopher.

“He’s a Fascist! “You’re a Communist!” From listening to the political rhetoric these days you would think that to be a Socialist or Communist is a leftist position and to be Fascist is a far-right position, but you would be wrong. Both Communism and Fascism are forms of Socialism. While their respeective ideologues did hate each other, both were collectivist Socialists that were in competition for dominance in the early 20th century. For instance, the NAZIs were the National SOCIALIST Party of Germany.
