The picture portrays our economy in death. The picture reminds us how we must inevitably mourn what we are losing.
What happens when we allow greedy people to abuse government power so that they can manipulate us, gather all our wealth to themselves, and hoard all our people’s wealth unto themselves? Then free enterprise is no longer free enterprise. Then our marketplace is not free. Then our economy becomes a zero sum game. Then the winners glory and gloat in the success of their greedy thievery. Then the losers — We the People — chafe and starve in our bondage to crooked men and women.
Crooked men and women? Yes. The problem with these people is not the fact they are wealthy. The problem is the fact they are willing to sell their souls to obtain other people’s money.
What happens in a free enterprise system? What happens when the markets are free?
