I have gotten my two COVID-19 shots. Like a great many Americans, I decided to risk getting jabbed with a still experimental vaccine. Why? For personal reasons, I decided that the benefit was worth the risk. Do I think everyone should make the same choice? No. Everyone has the right to consider their own circumstances and to make their own choice.
Unfortunately, we now have the Delta variant of the virus first discovered in India, and lots of people are in a panic. So, I wondered. What should I do? Do I need to go back to wearing a mask?
The so-called mainstream news media is not very helpful. These people are not on our side. Why not?
- They make their money by scaring us.
- They are owned by massive corporations run by crony capitalists.
Take this New York Times article, Vaccinated People…

You do not need to wear a mask. You have never needed to wear a mask! A mask is literally a face diaper. In many countries a surgeon’s mask is actually called a “nappy.” They are for keeping large droplets of biological goo from being splattered on your face and getting into your mouth and nose. If you have a sick toddler with a runny nose who is prone to sneeze in your face, then a mask might be useful, I suppose.
In fact, a mask just becomes a warm, moist petri dish for germs which you than proceed to rub directly into your mucus membranes. Masks are actually harmful.
Alas, here we I live we do not value science, nor do we value freedom. We’re locked down under masking mandates and vaccine passports. Our local gov hardly even bothers to pretend this is about science. For example, “masks will be worn during zoom meetings to set a good example for others and to show support for our public health officials.” That’s not science, it’s a loyalty litmus test.

I agree. The people pushing this nonsense even want us to wear masks when we are exercising. That is just plain foolish.
I got the shot and I regretted it. I still got Covid. I will never put an experimental vaccine in my body ever again. Even if that means I get rejected by society. This may sound a little extreme… but I refuse to play their game of whose a sheep and whose non-compliant.

Well, I cannot say I blame you. However, the manufacturers of the vaccines did not promise 100% effectiveness. People act like it is totally unexpected when people who have been vaccinated get COVID-19. It isn’t.
That said, the second vaccination made me sicker than first one I got. So, I don’t think I will chance taking a booster. There has gotten to be too much politics, and the people in charge cannot be trusted.
