What is the question?
DO YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN BY A NUMBER OR YOUR NAME?
In a Socialist society, we will be known by a number given to us by our rulers. In a republic, we will be known by the name given to us by our parents. Why the difference?
- In a Socialist society the government owns and runs everything. A Socialist society is characterized by huge institutions. Even with the best of intentions the people who run these institutions finds it difficult to know us by our name. Since we are dependent upon the government, not the other way around, the people who run the government tend to find us ordinary citizens a burden.
- In a republic, individuals and small groups own and run everything. Large institutions and corporations are rare and discouraged. Individuals and small groups find it easier to get to know us by name. Since these individuals and small groups make their living by serving us, they are happy to see us and happy to use our name.
So, if we want to be known by our name, what kind of government should we seek?

Thanks!
Tom,
If we become a Federal Prisoner, we will be identified by government with both a name and number.

I wonder if that government system of identification should give us both a clue and an answer to your question,
In other words, we should strive in our actions to only be known by our name so as avoid never to be know by someone in government by a number?

Also, on large farms, the livestock are given number tags. Sort of like ‘contact tracing.’

That’s a funny question, but interesting question. Prison is definitely a place to avoid.
Is government to be completely avoided? No. When led properly, the military issues name tags and strives to build a sense of community. We don’t just fight for our country. We also fight for our buddies.
Tom,
Actually, mow that I think about this post of yours, in my post today titled: Government Promotes Racism, I could have added a third issue to your question
Name
Number
Race
