Nothing wrong with asking for help, but I think there is a better way to do it.
Here is the problem. You may be perfectly honest, but I don’t think most of us either know how to or have the time to verify a go fund me site. Besides, many of us would rather make efficient use of our money. It goes farther if we contribute to well-run charities.
If you need help, there plenty of organizations that help vets in situations like the one you apparently have. Please use your favorite search engine to find several organizations that seem appropriate. Then see what the charity rating services think of them. Then contact the organization with the best reviews. Even if that organization cannot help you, they will probably help you find an organization that can help you.

No. I was shot as I entered the building. Even though I was unarmed and complaining that I did not want my children taught to Critical Race Theory and turned into racists, the partisan news media called me a white supremacist and accused me of participating in an armed insurrection.
Anyway, you are welcome to visit my gravesite. It has been so lonely without you.

Interesting post. It reminds me of the time, many years ago, that many Christians were complaining about the Harry Potter books, saying that they promoted the occult. My wife–a retired teacher then homeschooling our children–read the first HP book and said that the depictions of magic did not bother her, but it struck her that the children were always right and the adults/authority figures were always wrong. So it wasn’t just TV dads under attack; even children’s literature was telling them that they could do what they wanted and ignore the adults in charge. J.
