Because Conservative blacks are somewhat unusual, I tend to treat them with more respect. Is that racist? I don’t think so. It is just an unfortunate fact of life. Blacks face considerable pressure to toe the Democratic Party line. Who from? Other blacks. The news media. White liberal Democrats. Because Liberal Democrats think they rightfully “own” the minority vote, Liberal Democrats zealously and self-righteously shame any minority — especially blacks — when they buck the Liberal Democrat plantation system and espouse Conservative beliefs. Therefore, when I read the editorials written by men like Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, and so forth, I do so with the understanding that here is someone who has to fight to be taken seriously and state his beliefs.
Hence, when I listened to Abraham Hamilton III (American Family Radio – The Hamilton Corner (afr.net)) interview Ken Cuccinelli (Election Transparency Initiative), I paid more attention to Hamilton than I might have otherwise, wondering what had driven him to buck so much pressure. So it is that when Hamilton called The Washington Post an idol, I found myself wondering what that was about.
You even had the idol – I don’t call them progressive, I call them regressive because they’re not advancing anything, only taking us backwards — but the regressive Washington Post even gave Mr. Biden four Pinocchio’s because he flat out lied about the law.

Hamilton used the word “idol” almost incidentally. His main point was that even that “idol,” The Washington Post, had accused President Biden of not telling the truth. Still, because the way Hamilton used the word “idol” was unusual, the word “idol” caught my attention. Curious, I decided to do a little research. How had Hamilton used the word “idol” in the past?

When Hamilton calls The Washington Post an “idol,” that is a bit unusual, nevertheless, his definition of the word Idol | Definition of Idol by Merriam-Webster is not unusual. Effectively, an idol is anything we put before God.
God is Truth, not The Washington Post. Nevertheless, some people equate whatever so-called mainstream news media outlets say and write with the Truth, but we cannot be trusted. We are fallible and sinful. Whenever another human being tells us something, our devotion to God requires us to carefully examine what they say, especially if it conflicts with the Word of God.
The Truth is not the Truth just because someone we fear or admire says it is the Truth. The Truth is not the Truth just because it would be convenient or just because we want it to be the Truth. The Truth is the Truth because evidence and reason demand we believe. The Truth is the Truth because the Creator made it so.
Here of late, for example, our government and the so-called mainstream news media have told us that people can change their “gender.” That is, that biological boy can become a girl or a biological girl can become a boy, and we MUST respect this new “reality.” When he objected to this new “reality,” this absurdity resulted in the suspension of a teacher in Loudoun County, Teacher Who Said Boys Can’t Be Girls Put On Administrative Leave | The Daily Caller. What had that teacher done wrong? He exercised his First Amendment right of free speech and disagreed with the School Board’s “Truth.” Had he agreed with the School Board, he would not have been suspended.
What is the role of news outlets like The Washington Post in this nonsense? Much of our society puts sexual pleasure, their desire for stuff, their belief in “science.” the power of the state, and their pride in their self before God. To justify themselves, they turn to news outlets like The Washington Post to propagate and affirm their “Truth.” They turn to news outlets like The Washington Post to tell them what they want to believe. Effectively, they give more credence to so-called mainstream news media outlets than they do the Word of God, to the Truth that God has revealed to us.

Hence, we have the absurdity. Just because the so-called mainstream news media says so, a biological boy can become a girl or a biological girl can become a boy. When we are willing to accept such nonsense uncritically — when we are willing to teach such vile garbage to our children just because the so-called mainstream news media says it is true — that is idol worship.

Americans have had a lot of idols for decades. Our prosperous lifestyle breeds them.
On government, there are two questions I ask people who tell me some form of socialism is good, “Why would you trust anything the government does? And second, “What has the government ever done that actually works better?” If we cannot answer these in the affirmative, then we should not be looking to government to solve our problems.
And science, by its very methology, is always changing and never certain about anything. What is true today in science is often not true in five years.
So, why would we ever want to trust in any of these mutable things more that God? It’s beyond absurd to me. These are not even good idols when you think about it.

Agreed, however, the stability of scientific knowledge depends upon upon what we call science. What the news media calls science is often nothing more than speculation with a scientific veneer.
Consider what the scientific method requires. If you must, look up the scientific method. Then consider my questions. Can we satisfy the requirements of the scientific method to prove: the Theory of Evolution, Global Warming, the Big Bang Theory,… Can we prove homosexuals (and boys and girls who think they are actually girls and boys) are genetically wired that way? Can we prove the earth is billons of years old? Nope!
Unfortunately, we have lots of people proclaiming their theories as scientific facts, but their “facts” have never been tested scientifically. Hence, these people cannot be trusted to use the word “science” properly. All they are doing is asserting what they want to believe and calling that “science.”
What actually happens when our scientific knowledge grows? Do we discard what we have learned before? No. What we do is add to our knowledge. We fit the discoveries of the past into today’s improved theories. If we add a second floor to our house, we don’t discard the first floor. We may remodel the first floor so that it can hold up the second floor, but without the first floor there is no second floor.
