Think about things differently? Perhaps, to strive to excel? To have a mind of our own and use it? Is that what public education exists to develop, our individual talents? Government-run education? A bureaucratic exercise if there ever was one?
What is the basic problem with government-run schools? The bigger the operation the more difficult and costly it becomes to operate. What is required for economies of scale? The product has to be all the same. To reduce complexity to manageable proportions, an assembly line requires uniformity. When we put our children in a K-12 assembly line, are our children all the same? Do they all have the same needs and talents? Do we expect or even want the same outcome for all of them? Are our children widgets?

Great post message.
I especially agree with the following statement which I believe we are now experiencing in mainly urban areas of our Nation.
“But not only that. As the great sinners grow fewer, and the majority lose all individuality, the great sinners become far more effective agents for us.” (C.F. Lewis Screwtape’s)
However, I believe we need to do more than pray. We need to realize and understand how the 2020 Supreme Court Amendment has opened the door for school choice and school vouchers.
What Clerics and Voters need to do is pray for the energy to become involved to elect legislators in the coming elections to support rather than oppose what is in effect a violation of our Civil Rights of the First Amendment as you pointed out in a comment to me.
