Good post brother. All this reminds me of a conversation on abortion. My husband surprised me when he said, “God is pro-choice”. I said, “W H A T ?” He calmly added, “yes, God freely gives us the choice between good and evil.”

Quick thoughts on whether we should say God is responsible for evil | The Domain for Truth (wordpress.com) – God is pro-choice comment
That comment was a response to Quick thoughts on whether we should say God is responsible for evil | The Domain for Truth (wordpress.com). That post deals with a complex subject. We say that God does not do evil, but He does allow it. Why?
When people ask that question — why does God allow evil? — I point to this verse.
Romans 8:28 New American Standard Bible
28 And we know that [a]God [b]causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Somehow God causes every deed — all things — to work for the good of those who love Him.
Consider Free speech Is NOT Biblical | See, there’s this thing called biology… (wordpress.com). Here we have a post about the rights God has given us. What we call rights enable us to make choices, for good or evil.
Consider on the move « cookiecrumbstoliveby (wordpress.com). What are our choices about? Are we moving towards God into the light or away from God and into the darkness?
How do we know? How do we know if we are moving towards or away from God. That requires us to know God, theology. Learning theology learning about God. Even in that God is pro-choice. Consider Book review: Surviving the Storms: Memoirs of David P. Scaer – Salvageable (wordpress.com).

Thanks!
Always fascinating
Interesting round up, Tom! I would answer the question, “is God pro-choice,” with a no! It’s an interesting debate, a matter of perspective. I just happen to believe we made our choice in the garden long ago and Jesus vetoed it, over ruled us.We say God always let’s us choose, but then again we have road to Damascus moments.
@insanitybytes22
I think it safe that God approves of some choices.
