Why is a blog that is supposed to focus on Prince William County and the City of Manassas writing about FORMER President Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial? The reason is that the leaders of our Federal Government have begun to assume powers not given them by The Constitution of the United States: A Transcription | National Archives. When officials of the Federal Government usurp powers that belong to local governments, what is a local blog supposed to do? Cover what the Federal Government is doing? If local governments become irrelevant, then doesn’t that make the Federal Government the local government?
Do the leaders of our Federal Government accept the proper limits on their power? The show trial of FORMER President Donald Trump provides a straightforward and obvious example that they do not.

Blogs that are on the right must be treated as domestic terrorists. Comments against the Democratically controlled Senate will be reported and investigated.

I don’t know if The Washington Examiner is changing sides. So, I will avoid that topic. What Kevin Carroll wrote in The Washington Examiner is kind of stupid. Consider his points.
1. He is all upset about “insurrection” at the Capitol, but what about the riots all last year.
2. He wants fire and police departments that receive federal grants have their members sign commitments not to engage in acts to overthrow the government. I think that civil servants already take an oath to support and defend the Constitution. So, this is redundant.
3. He says “We need to draw out those of our fellow citizens who are willing to attack our nation.” This borders on illegal. If a policeman encourages someone to commit a crime that they otherwise would not have committed, that is called entrapment.
4. He wants to use the supremacy of federal law to ban “militias” beyond the National Guard? What does that mean? If a bunch of guys practice warfare maneuvers using paintball equipment, are we going to put them in jail?
5. He wants to add domestic terrorism as a predicate to the material support for terrorism statute, including its civil liability provisions. That would be redundant. Domestic terrorism is already illegal.
