Since I am something of a political junky, I spend too much time thinking about politics. If economics is the dismal science, then politics is a deep, dark, dank and dirty swamp, an elephant’s graveyard and a certain kind of donkey’s pastureland. Yet as hopeless as it seems, good men must stand against evil even in deep, dark, dank and dirty swamps.

The propaganda media and the Democrats are trying to keep Republicans on defense with a campaign of smears, exaggerations, and outright lies.
From trying to impeach President Donald Trump (who is now a private citizen), to focusing on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, to maximizing the divide between Rep. Liz Cheney and Trump supporters, the propaganda media and the Democrats are maneuvering to try to create a defensive Republican Party. They want to keep the GOP crouched in a circular firing squad shooting at itself.
This is because the Democrats have real imperatives driving them to harass and attack Republicans. (continued)

Why is Gingrich optimistic? Are we not losing? Not necessarily. The more idiotically foolish Democrats look the less people fear them. When they bring tens of thousands of soldiers into Washington D.C., and they then act as if the soldiers cannot be trusted, Americans are not quite that stupid. We cannot trust our soldiers, but we can trust Democrat politicians? How many people believe that?
Because of their unending and outrageous attacks on President Donald Trump, Democrats and their fake news media allies have exposed themselves. Because of their greed for power, now so tantalizingly just out of reach, they have continued to expose themselves with outrageous policy demands. If we can laugh and smile and stand firm, Democrats will eventually lose heart. They will flee in fear both from the light we shine on them and from the righteous anger they have ever so slowly aroused.

My reason for optimism is that we have economies of scale on our side- we are in the majority- they are vulnerable and one can tell by their behavior

Tyranny is a stupid ego trip. All that tyrants ever gain are enemies on every side. Still, pride drives people to surprising lengths.
The secret of the success of the tyrannical lies in the ease with which we can be divided. That is why it so important to convince as many people as possible that God gives us our rights, not arrogant politicians abusing their power.
