(from here)

The largely peaceful rioters were upset after they heard Joe Biden’s inaugural speech. Why? Since rioting is not especially rational, we can only guess why people riot. This appears to be one reason.

Some said they took to the streets because they were disgusted that the new president had called for unity rather than attack their right-wing opponents. “Calling for unity with people who actively want to harm people is disgusting,” a woman named Anna told the Seattle Times.

Antifa militants smash up first Starbucks in anti-Biden protest (

Another reason?

“WE DON’T WANT BIDEN — WE WANT REVENGE!” read a huge banner carried at the front of a rally in Portland, along with a threatening image of an assault rifle as well as Antifa’s logo.

Leftist protesters wreak havoc, confront cops in Portland (

Here are some other stories about the riots.

Odd thing is that the riots seem to have stopped since Biden started signing executive orders. Perhaps they appreciate the vengeful nature of those executive orders or it could just be that Liberal Democrats politicians finally want to stop the riots.

Me? I suspect the rioters are just pleased they are getting their revenge. Lots and lots of executive orders.

The most obvious revenge is that Biden’s executive orders will cost a huge number of jobs in what the Liberal Democrat news media calls flyover country. How many? People always float numbers, but economic predictions are about as accurate as weather predictions. What are some of the big ones?

  • The Keystone XL Pipeline gets a lot of publicity, but the job losses are only in the thousands. However, because it just stupid, it is symbolic of the absolute idiocy of the environmental policies. Canada wants to ship its oil to our refineries, and we are effectively telling them to ship their oil to China? China’s refineries are cleaner than ours? It is safer to ship the oil across the ocean?
  • A $15 dollar an hour minimum wage sounds great until we realize a fundamental truth. Employers cannot and will not pay people more than their labor is worth. So, anyone whose labor is not worth $15 dollars an hour will be fired. This will affect large numbers of entry level and low skill workers. The minimum wage is just another dumb idea that makes American labor more expensive and ships jobs out of our country.
  • The Paris climate accord just adds more regulation to American business, making doing business in America less competitive. The Paris climate accord doesn’t even affect China, the world’s largest polluter.
  • Eliminating fracking on public lands sounds great to some, no doubt, but for some reason Biden said he never opposed fracking (see Biden falsely claims he never opposed fracking – CNNPolitics). There is a point where the nuances don’t matter.

Still, the Liberal Democrat news media is happy about Biden.

The U.S. job market would recover to its pre-pandemic levels by fall of 2022 if President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion ‘rescue plan’ is implemented, according to new estimates by Moody’s Analytics. That would be an entire year sooner than if no more relief is passed.

“We would recover all of the 10 million jobs that were down since the pandemic hit,” Mark Zandi, Moody’s Analytics chief economist, told Yahoo Money. “If we get no more fiscal — if nothing gets through — it’s late 2023 before we get back to full employment.”

Biden’s ‘rescue plan’ could close 10 million lost jobs gap by fall of 2022, Moody’s estimates (

Biden’s executive orders will probably kill as many jobs as he supposedly will rescue with his extravagant spending (Fact Sheet: President Biden’s New Executive Actions Deliver Economic Relief for American Families and Businesses Amid the COVID-19 Crises | The White House). The unfortunate fact is that Liberal Democrats, by printing money that grows ever more worthless, seem more determined than ever to make as many people as possible dependent upon government aid.

So, why aren’t people talking more about Biden’s executive orders and his COVID-19 Relief plan? Well, we have this by design distraction, the second trial of former President Donald Trump. We know the Senate can’t remove Trump because he is no longer the president. We also know not enough Republicans will vote to convict because Trump did not incite a riot. The riot started well before his speech was done.

Fact: Democrats have done everything they could to undermine confidence in our election system. Was there fraud in this last election? There are lots of questions we need to answer? That includes:

  • Why did Democrats falsely accuse Trump of conspiring with the Russians to steal the 2016 election?
  • Why did elected officials arbitrarily and unconstitutionally change the rules of the election using COVID-19 as a excuse?
  • Why have Democrats to promoted voting by mail, including ballot harvesting? Voting by mail compromises any effort to tightly control secure custody of every ballot?
  • Why have Democrats fought any effort to properly maintain voter registration roles?
  • Why have Democrats to refused to allow voter ID, both by mail and in-person, using charges of racism as an excuse? Blacks are too dumb to get a photo ID or to sign an absentee ballot envelope? And Democrats call Republicans racists?
  • Why have Democrats fought controlling our border? Why have Democrats allowed millions of illegal aliens into our country and encouraged them to vote illegally? Because of Trump, we know the border can be enforced. For entirely selfish reasons, Democrats refuse to do so.
  • What about the refusal of officials to audit absentee ballot signatures in the contested precincts?
  • What about the elected officials who set aside the 2005 Carter-Baker report and ignored it? Those officials never bother to conscientiously implement an election system that the People could believe produced accurate and trustworthy results.

Democrats call any attempt to ensure the integrity of our election systems racist. That is as sick and as divisive as it gets. Those people who rioted at the Capitol Building did not need Trump to incite them. They were mad at Congress because they saw in Congress people who were betraying them once again.

Trump did not cause Americans to distrust their government. Americans elected Trump because they already distrust their government. Still, just a small number of hotheads went to the Capitol to storm it. The vast majority of the crowd did not know about the riot, and the vast majority made no attempt to riot. Yet the Biden administration weirdly acted like Trump had besieged the Washington D. C. After the crowd had already left — and peacefully — what was the point of calling up 25,000 troops and circling the mall with razor wire? Theatrics? A distraction and an excuse for the oncoming abuses of power.

Here is a suggestion for my readers. Write your senators. Tell them to skip the unconstitutional impeachment of Donald Trump. Ask them to focus on the president who is actually in the White House. Has Joe Biden take bribes from China and other foreign powers? What Biden is doing as president sure isn’t helping us, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out he is making the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) happy.

  1. In an underreported statement made at the late night press briefing on inauguration night, Biden’s new White House spokesperson Jen Psaki shouted down flabbergasted reporters with the claim, “This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period.”

    1. In another unreported pronouncement, President Joe Biden spoke in unrealistically rosy terms about the COVID-19 pandemic:

“It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear. And from our shores, we — you know, it could get worse before it gets better. It could maybe go away. We’ll see what happens. Nobody really knows.”

    2. “Biden Plans to Hold G7 in Delaware Home Backyard”

In a strained announcement Friday night, the Biden White House announced its plans to hold the next G7 Meeting at a barbecue in his Delaware Home back yard. Hunter Biden is organizing the event, and each G7 country will be charge $100,000 per plate and one million dollars per room with all the proceeds going to the Biden family’s new Bed and Breakfast business. In the face of a skeptical White House press corps, Biden spokeswoman, Jen Psaki said,

“It became apparent that the Biden B&B was by far and away, the best physical facility for this meeting.”

“In fact I was talking to one of the advance teams when they came back and I said, ‘What was it like?’ And they said, ‘You’re not going to believe this but it’s almost like they built this facility to host this type of event.'”

    3. It was recently revealed the President Joe Biden has fallen in love with the Supreme leader of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, and that they have been exchanging “love letters”.

Biden gloats about the half-dozen or so letters Khamenei has written him as if he were a smitten teenager in possession of valentines from a crush. White House officials refer to the diplomatic correspondence jokingly as “love letters.” Khamenei addresses Trump as “Your Excellency” and employs flowery language to describe the president’s energy and political smarts, according to people who have read them. Biden has shown the documents to dozens of Oval Office visitors and bragged about them in public.
“He wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters,” Biden said at a recent COVID super spreader rally in California. “We fell in love.”

In newly announced upcoming talks with Iran’s supreme leader, international experts on Iran are baffled as to why Biden would hold talks without any preliminary negotiations, thus giving new legitimacy to the brutal regime and its nuclear buildup. Biden says that he expects only to carry out their love affair in person, and is so stricken by Khamenei that he only hopes to give Khamenei all the bombs he wants as long as Khamenei continues to flatter the President. with adoration and lots of love.

      1. @Tsalmon

        My post must have connected.

Before you criticize Trump with such baloney:

        1. You may wish to consider how Winston Churchill and FDR treated Joseph Stalin.
        2. Biden does not brag about crowds because he has never had any to brag about.
        3. When Biden hosts the G7, he will give away the store, again. On the other hand, Trump made our allies pay to participate in NATO.
        4. What is wrong with optimism? Trump got us the vaccines and a distribution plan. So, he was right. COVID will go away. One way or another, we will achieve herd immunity. You want to keep wearing your mask and never see your grand children? Hope not, but do Democrats ever want crises to never go away? Can’t stand to let a crisis go to waste?

  2. “What Biden is doing as president sure isn’t helping us, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out he is making the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) happy.”

It’s not only the CCP. Putin will also be delighted.
The nutjobs who peddled the Trunp-is-Putin’s-puppet craziness for 4 years never made any sense.
Obama’s weakness and Clinton’s failed reset policy emboldened Putin’s aggression. We all remember Obama’s famous “red line” in Syria.
In contrast to his predecessor Trump imposed much tougher sanctions on Russia, supplied Ukraine with weapons, and ordered military strikes on Assad’s bases.
The two things though that hurt Putin the most were these:
    – American energy independence and increased energy production.
    – Strengthening of America’s military.

Russia’s economy is highly dependend on revenues from energy exports and therefore an increased energy supply and falling energy prices hurt Russia and its geopolitcal ambitions.
A strengthened US miltary limits the options of Putin and of his allies further.

Biden’s policy is the exact opposite.

    1. “We all remember Obama’s famous “red line” in Syria.”
The one, where the President asked Congress for approval before going to war?

      1. As if Obama had ever a problem to go to war without congressional authorization. He did so in Lybia.
Most likely he thought that making threats was enough to impress Assad. When decision time came he chickened out by passing the buck to Congress. Putin was highly impressed. What a joke.

      2. @marmoewp

As funny as it sounds, the guy who won the Nobel Peace Prize just for giving campaign speeches bombed more countries than any president since WWII.

  3. “A $15 dollar an hour minimum wage sounds great until we realize a fundamental truth. Employers cannot and will not pay people more than their labor is worth. So, anyone whose labor is not worth $15 dollars an hour will be fired. This will affect large numbers of entry level and low skill workers. The minimum wage is just another dumb idea that makes American labor more expensive and ships jobs out of our country.”

The $15 minimum wage is a target for 2026, up from the current $7.25 federal minimum. California has a $13 to $14 minimum wage, already. Germany right now has a minimum wage of $11.15. A lot of minimum wage jobs can neither be shipped to other countries, nor can they be automated or eliminated. Think janitor, bartender, food delivery drivers etc. So the costs will be factored into the retail prices and costs of service. The measure will increase overall production costs, while at the same time growing the consumer market, as minimum wage earners typically need to spend all their income on rent and daily supplies. For the overall effect on the economy, you’d have to consult an economist.

    1. @marmoewp

What good is a minimum wage? The whole point of a free market is that we compete. If our labor is valuable, we get paid more. That provides an incentive to make ourselves as valuable as we can. All a minimum wage does is price low skilled workers out of the market.

What interferes with the operation of a free market, giving employers the edge in labor negotiations? Monopoly. The solution for that is breaking up monopolies, not using the government to give large companies special advantages, which the minimum wage actually does.

Large companies by an large already pay their employees the minimum wage. Hence, the minimum wage hurt their smaller competitors and encourages further monopolization.

  4. Just a heads-up: Trump’s speech ended 20 minutes after the first line of barricades was breached, but 50 minutes before the rioters started breaking windows.

Heavily abridged highlights form the wikipedia timeline:

    -12:00 p.m.: Trump starts speech
-12:49 p.m.: Police responds to pipe bombs found at RNC and DNC headquarters
-12:53 p.m.: Rioters breach the first barriers around the Capitol
    – 1:10 p.m.: Trump ends speech: “We’re going to try and give them [Republicans] the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country.”, drives to White House.
    – 1:30 p.m.: Large crowds walk from the Ellipse to the Capitol, 1.25 miles away
    – 1:50 p.m.: D.C. Metro Police on-scene commander Robert Glover declares a riot
    – 1:59 p.m.: Rioters reach doors and windows and try to break in
    – 2:11 p.m.: First window is broken, rioters enter within the first minute
    – 2:13 p.m.: Pence is evacuted from Senate floor, Senate called into recess
    – 2:14 p.m.: Rioters reach a floor where they would have seen VP Pence a minute ago
    – 2:20 p.m.: The house adjourns and starts evacuation
    – 2:24 p.m.: 34 minutes after a riot has been declared, 13 minutes after rioters broke into and had entered the Capitol building, 11 minutes after the VP had to be evacuated from the Senate floor, President Trump tweets:
“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

    1. @marmoewp

It is a long walk from the Washington Monument to the Capitol. The crowd was so huge that when I started walking to the Capitol I could hardly move. So I had to head back to my bus before I ever got to the Capitol.

The point is that the people who attacked the Capitol were already there when Trump ended his speech. I found out about the storming of the Capitol after I was on my bus. My brother called me at about 3:15 PM.

  5. .
Sad, what is even more sad is if you live in a Democrat State, the Dems are happy as a lark.

The politicians in Illinois are anticipating Biden will help erase all the States debt.

When super inflation results, everyone in debt is happy because they can pay off their debt as long as they have a job and are paid with higher salaries businesses will have to pay them if they need workers.

That is if the business still needs workers.

The ones who get hurt the worse are people who saved dollars and find out the value of their dollars has decreased.

    Regards and goodwill blogging

    1. @Scatterwisdom

What is aggravating about Virginia is that we have yet to accumulate gobs of debt. Unfortunately, with Democrats in charge, our politicians could not care less about doing anything to avoid making Virginians responsible for paying off the debts of spendthrifts.

  6. Hmm, well first off I want to say Joe Biden isn’t actually “doing” anything. That poor man is suffering from at least a 50% mental decline. He may well be signing papers, but he is not the one coming up with the ideas or any sort of plan.

Speaking of mental decline, I’d say a good chunk of rioters are so self-consumed by their own issues often involving addiction, homelessness, and lack of any moral leadership, they also don’t even know what Joe Biden is doing.

    1. @insanitybytes

Well, I don’t know the state of Biden’s mental health. Since he managed to carry off a halfway decent performance in the debates, my guess is that he is old and tires too easily to be serving as president. Otherwise, I think he knows what is going on, but he is more dependent upon his advisers than most presidents have been.

Frankly, I think it somewhat dangerous to underestimate our opponents. It is also a bad idea to overestimate them. Probably a good time to remember Ephesians 6:12-13.

Democrats succeed in their Socialist agenda mostly because most people don’t participate wisely as good citizens in running their government. To a large extent, we keep expecting others to do what we need to do ourselves. We also receive a lousy education in civics because we have put government in charge of our schools.

The rioters? I guess you are mostly right.
