There are only four main variants of Homo sapiens, within each group are subraces and several mixtures within the genetic makeup of humans (from here (en.wikipedia.org)).
Today George Floyd is supposed to be buried in Houston, TX. Since the magnitude of the news coverage about Floyd’s death overwhelms anything this poor blog could offer, we won’t add to it. Instead, we will just consider why racism is a problem.
First of all, it is not easy to have a rational discussion about racism. We get extremely emotional about the subject. Consider Racism, Not Genetics, Explains Why Black Americans Are Dying of COVID-19 (blogs.scientificamerican.com). For some reason a higher proportion of blacks are getting COVID-19. Why? Well, some scientists have offered theories, but this article insists the problem is racism. How are racists spreading COVID-19? Well, the authors say the problem is “systemic”, as if the term “systemic” explains…

Well, well. Apparently that racist bigot Nazi Trump nominated this guy for Chief of Staff three months ago.
I didn’t even know about it (I know two other people in the running very well, but not him….I’ve heard he’s a “shiny penny”, aka “good dude as well as rockstar” we shall see)
Thanks or this Tom. I’ve always believed race shouldn’t matter but never thought about God’s perspective on it. He made us unique for a reason but certainly not to assign negative traits on those that look different. That’s a human pride thing as you say.

I think the Bible is clear about this. The proslavery crowd and Atheists try to make the Bible out as approving of slavery, but it is man who has approved of slavery, not God. The Bible in its historical narrative says that our forebears owned slaves and saw nothing wrong with it. The Bible teaches that all of us were made in God’s image, that our Lord commands us to love each other. Who enslaves soméone they love?
So true Tom. Yet look at so called compassionate government programs created by man for the poor and how they lead to enslavement. Quite the opposite of love there.
Tom,I am no Bible theologian, but will share my thoughts on your post because in my novel I surmised a similar question being asked by the Queen of Sheba to King Solomon.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
The Bible makes mention of the pride of man to construct the Tower of Babel and God’s decision to teach a lesson about prided by changing the builder’s languages so they could no longer communicate with each other and wound up dispersing them to live in different areas of the world.

In other words, God has a purpose for every season in life.
Perhaps a challenge, maybe for all different people to find a way to live in peace with each other regardless of race color or creed and rich and poor.
Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all. (Proverb 22:2)
Perhaps wisdom was not enough, so God sent his son 1000 years later to teach love.
In any case, faith is believing God has a purpose for everything. Perhaps a challenge for our free will choices in life?
Human pride has been a source of intrigue or the intriguer of humans throughout history.
We have never wised up over time.
Regards and goodwill blogging.

Romans 8:28?
God turns all things to the good of those who love Him. We just have to learn to love someone besides our self.
