When I was a young person, Good Friday was observed across our nation with solemnity and respect for Jesus, who hung on the cross during those three hours and then died…for us! Churches held Tre Ore services from noon to 3 PM and workers were even allowed to attend the services and then return to their jobs. They mourned Jesus’ death.
Good Friday, April 10, 2020 was NOT a good Friday and one of great sorrow. On that Friday Virginia governor Ralph Northam chose to sign into law HB 980 and SB 733 that absolutely removed all protections for unborn babies and their mothers considering abortion.
