ARE YOU PART OF THE PROBLEM?

Prince William-Manassas Family Alliance

Consider the importance that the Apostle Paul attached to preaching.

Romans 10:14-17 Good News Translation (GNT)

14 But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed? 15 And how can the message be proclaimed if the messengers are not sent out? As the scripture says, “How wonderful is the coming of messengers who bring good news!” 16 But not all have accepted the Good News. Isaiah himself said, “Lord, who believed our message?” 17 So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.

How do we come to know God? Someone shares His Word with us. How do we teach our children what we believe? We teach them, and we choose what they learn and who teaches them.

What is happening now? Our government…

    The problem is millions of children attending public schools do not have you as a parent.

    As time go by, each new generation never being introduced to the Bible results in less and less parents like you passing on your religious values.

    Another factor is that being taught religious values is the same as every other skill, the more time spent learning a skill, the better the product or the less repairs will be needed because the product was produced according to specifications, both men and God’s?

    Why then, in a nation that expounds a First Amendment, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” should it be unaffordable for the majority of parents to send their children to be taught their religious values and not have to listen and be taught values chosen by liberal politicians values?

    Ever wonder how many people are in prison in the USA never were introduced to the same religious values as their parents, compared to how many who are in prison that were?

    When is the right or wise time to speak or be silent and listen like this oak tree prose?

    A wise old owl sat on an oak;

    The more he saw the less he spoke;
    The less he spoke the more he heard;
    Why aren’t we like that wise old bird?

    Or,

    a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, (Ecclesiaste 3:7)

    a time to keep silence, and a time to speak (k); when it is an evil time, a time of calamity in a nation, it is not a time to be loquacious and talkative, especially in a vain and ludicrous way, Amos 5:13; or when a particular friend or relation is in distress, as in the case of Job and his friends, Job 2:13; or when in the presence of wicked men, who make a jest of everything serious and religious, Psalm 39:1; and so when under afflictive dispensations of Providence, it is a time to be still and dumb, and not open the mouth in a murmuring and complaining way, Leviticus 10:3. And, on the other hand, there is a time to speak, either publicly, of the truths of the Gospel, in the ministry of it, and in vindication of them; or privately, of Christian experience: there is a time when an open profession should be made of Christ, his word and ordinances, and when believers should speak to God in prayer and praise; which, should they not, the stones in the wall would cry out. (Gils Bible Commentary)

    In my opinion, the wisest time to speak is before we have to mend what we have torn

    However, for some foolish reason, that is not how things work in the USA,

    Sad

  3. Whether we abrogate our responsibility to raise our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord or not we will be judged. Just saying I am trusted my children to be educated by others is not an excuse for their lack of education particularly when it comes to the things of God

      Agreed. Ideally, children should be exposed to God-fearing people and taught Biblical teachings both at school and at home. As it is, when we send children to secular schools, we implicitly teach them that glorifying God with our lives is of secondary importance, something we can set aside when it becomes inconvenient.

          We mostly sent our children to private religious schools. One of them wanted to be a doctor. So she attended public high school and college. The money that goes into public education makes it difficult for true private schools (no policy strings attached by government) to compete. Even the Ivy League schools take huge sums of government dollars.
