What was supposedly the big news of the day? Nancy Pelosi announces formal impeachment inquiry of Trump (nbcnews.com).
Did the House vote on anything? No. If all the Democrats vote for impeachment, a bunch of them risk losing their seats, and Pelosi knows it. So nothing has changed. The House will just continue to do what it has been doing. FAKE NEWS!
Trump’s speech at the United Nations, however, matters. He laid out for all to see what the United States stands for under his administration.
- You like what he said? Then give the man your hearty support.
- You don’t like what Trump said? Then you may wish to examine your conscience.
Trump spoke carefully and quietly, and people listened. So, the word of the day was “inflection”. Trump spoke with little inflection. He just exhibited calm and resolute determination. Trump did not put on a show. He did not attempt to emotionally manipulate us, and that is good. As citizens and voters, we need to think. That includes thinking about what our president said, not just what the news media said about him.
Tom.
Your comment on anger and a news commentary inspired me to write, King Solomon, Voter’s Riddle ‘Biden” Them to Choose in 2020

Among countries within the European Union, we have had no wars for more than seventy years. To contrast, this is what Europe looked like, when all of them were my-country-first nations:

@marmoewp
I could argue with your observation, but I will concede the European Common Market and European Union have probably contributed to peace. How much? I don’t know.
Although I doubt Trump has much use for the EU, I don’t think he exhibited a kneejerk reaction against international organizations, not even the EU. I forget who wrote the particular paper, but one of the authors of The Federalist Papers argued for the Constitution because a Federal Government would help to prevent wars between the States, and our Federal Government has most certainly helped t prevent such wars. Nevertheless, the United States has had a Civil War, and we are squabbling furiously now. Who knows what Liberal Democrats won’t do to get rid of Donald Trump? So, a governmental union between states does not end wars. It just means that those wars become civil wars.
Why doesn’t a governmental union between states end warfare? Why do we need a government in the first place? Pride. We each like having our own way. When we give in to pride and don’t respect each others God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; we create differences worth fighting about.
Tom.
Two-words and definitions came to my mind when I heard the latest antics of what the Dems are doing with their time during their terms in office now holding the majority votes in the House of Representative.
1. To clown means to act goofy. … A teacher trying to get the attention of kids who are fooling around might say, “Stop clowning around!
2. Useless means – not fulfilling or not expected to achieve the intended purpose or desired outcome.
What is sad is they are getting paid by taxes of taxpayers, some working two full time jobs.
In other words, the House of Representatives is running a circus act in my opinion.
What is even more sad is their act is making reading the Congressional Record is like reading the comics. And reading the news is like reading reversing the new with the funnies section.

@Scatterwisdom
Those people you are talking about have been like this for awhile. Obama just grew impatient and overplayed his hand. He made Liberal Democrat agenda too obvious too quickly. Trump’s victory and his efforts to undo Obama’s policies caused Liberal Democrats to become enraged. Angry people can be stupid and dangerous. That is what I think we are seeing.
Tom,
Agree something is driving them to anger which normally winds up making foolish decisions.
So if they want to impeach Trump for inquiring about Bidens son who obtained a $50,000 a month contract for energy related without any experience in energy, will that info help or harm the Dems?
Which question will result to play out to anger voters more when they enter thie polling booths?
Trump asking why Biden was their choice to pay $50,000 a month or the Dems not asking?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
@Scatterwisdom
Are you forgetting? The Liberal Democrat news media is not going to tell its viewers about Biden’s son. They are not going to them their viewers about his $50,000 a month energy related contract that he obtained without any experience in energy.
They are driving me nuts— reckon I can sue the house dems for the medical expenses I will incur when their idiocy finally pushes me to a heart attack?!
@Julie
Who knows?
😂
What an absolute freak show our “news” culture has become. Really it should be called the Cult of News that attempts to force a narrative on gullible people through manipulation and outright lies.
Thank you for reminding us of the bigger picture of things we should be paying attention to. Trump gave a good speech which honest people should acknowledge.
@Tricia
We have a bunch wealthy people buying propaganda. What these people are promoting is not good.
