In my last post, JUST HOW MUCH SHOULD WE TRUST OUR LEADERS? — PART 2, we considered the possibility that our elites don’t seem to care much about the people they rule, us. What didn’t we consider? Timely examples. Here is one.
We have a Christian heritage. Quite a few of us still go to church on Sunday. Is it not odd that the so-called mainstream news media does not contain reports about the persecution of Christians? It is happening, but have you heard about it? That’s the topic here: Where is the reporting of Christian massacres around the world? (bunkerville.wordpress.com, 19 Mar 2019). Here are are stories that provide additional perspective.

- Christian persecution set to rise ‘sharply’ in 2019, group warns (foxnews.com, Jan 2019)
- Ongoing Slaughter of Nigerian Christians Receives Scant Media Coverage (faithwire.com, 18 Mar)
I think we are near the end times and christ is returning soon.christians would have to suffer a lot. All we can do is pray and God will save us.
@Alisha Ann
End times? Possible. In any event, we do well behave as if our master’s return is imminent.
You’re right that there is a lot of persecution of Christians going on around the world that isn’t widely reported and we need to stand with our persecuted brothers and sisters. Our media, however, tends to be focused on North America and Europe, so they don’t tend to cover the rest of the world as much. An attack killing ten in Europe will get way more coverage than one killing 200 in Nigeria, not that they’re not both a tragedy. Keep spreading the word.
