Generally I have not made the fight against abortion a big thing on my blog. Why? Even though I think abortion is murder, I don’t see an easy legal solution. Laws have to be understandable, enforceable, and widely supported. Otherwise, we cannot arrest the perps and get a conviction. Since the morals of our society of degenerated so much…..
So I have focused on other issues like school choice, and I have tried to educate my readers. I want people to realize the Bible is true, that the men and women who founded this nation believed it. I want my readers to understand that when we believe the Bible and do what it says we can experience a touch of the Kingdom of God, that God begins to work in our lives.
Still, we cannot — I cannot — ignore the abortion issue. When we see people casually advocating abortion, like legislators in New York and the governor of Virginia, we must take the time to denounce their words, and we must support our friends when they denounce the murder of the unborn. We must also fight the efforts of sinners to make those of us who oppose abortion complicit by forcing taxpayers and those who buy health insurance pay for abortions of others.

‘Abortion’ “[the] anticipated murder to prevent someone from being born”
Tertullian
All this is causing a profound change in the way in which life and relationships between people
are considered. The fact that legislation in many countries,
perhaps even departing from basic principles of their Constitutions,
has determined not to punish these practices against life,
and even to make them altogether legal,
is both a disturbing symptom and a significant cause of grave moral decline

I am simply beside myself.
So gravely upset.
So much so that the words will not come.
And the words that do come, are not the right words…not for this…not right now.

I need to gather my thoughts, feelings, and words carefully before I…

Thanks for speaking the truth. Abortion is murder. We must continue to find acceptable legal ways to stop the slaughter of innocent babies.
Good points about laws needing to be understandable and compelling. It’s difficult to raise sympathy for the cause of protects infants at the fertilized egg stage of life.
That being said, it is no surprise that we find ourselves discussing the legality of slaughtering babies at full term. Selfishness does not dissipate magically during 3 trimesters. The victims of abortion are not the babies. God takes care of innocent children. Abortion destroys those who enable it to exist. It is a blood-soaked symptom of heart that says, “I am my own God.”

We have a society of meebots. => https://citizentom.com/2016/01/30/how-do-the-best-and-brightest-become-meebots/
I totally agree with this and support you and Julie in your thinking as well. We have become so dependent on our government to make decisions for us individually. How did that happen? In my state, there is a law pending to require cursive writing to be taught in elementary school. Why do we need a law for that?
Instead of making Jesus our Lord, many of us have turned to the state. This => https://citizentom.com/2019/02/17/thinking-does-not-always-produce-opinions-that-agree/ is my best attempt to explain the problem. Too many words, I suppose.
We have a secular government. Because our government is secular, when we allow our government to teach our children, it teaches them to live without God, to turn to the state, not God, for their salvation.
Amen!
