When you consider this case, consider what the commenters on the post are angry about. Do they want to lynch Mohamed Noor because he is a Muslim? Well, there is sneaking suspicion that Noor shot a pajama clad yoga teacher because she was not wearing a burka, but that really is not the issue. Because shooting the lady was so utterly senseless, it is inevitable that people will speculate about Noor’s motive.
What infuriates the commenters is the news media, especially papers like The Washington Post. The news media readily stir up race issues when there is a white on black police shooting, but defend blacks, especially black Muslims, when the shooter is black. What excuses such blatantly racist reporting?
Now we learn that two to three shots were fired by the Somali police officer into the body of the pajama clad yoga teacher standing at the driver’s side window. The officers sure don’t seem upset in the audio report we have now do they? We find out that no Grand Jury will be impaneled. Anyone want to bet this gets buried?

Thanks for your link. Now that a couple of Black Lives Matter disrupted the Mayor’s meeting it garnered attention. How many were there to disrupt? Looked about a dozen or so. Now National headlines.

Instigators troublemakers for profit motives, not necessary bigots in my opinion. Nothing new about these type scumbags. Had ’em around 3000 years ago as evidenced by this proverb Chap 16.

Not all the facts are in on this case. The Somalian community in Minneapolis is one of the largest in the country. I think the media is way too fast to pass judgment without getting all the facts. Why is it they are in such a hurry to get a scoop when human lives are affected? Our world is one big tabloid newspaper and frankly facts speak louder than enquiring minds. Let’s wait and see.

Why does the news media behave like that? I am not sure. Look at Europe. Look at all the Muslims they have let in. I can understand the desire to be generous, but I don’t think the Europeans are trying to be generous. I think we are seeing the pure greed and utter stupidity of large corporations who want cheap labor. I think we are seeing politicians who think they can bribe gullible immigrants with other people’s money. I think the general public is just amazingly apathetic and taken in by large corporation and government owned news media who are lying to them.

In Chicago, the majority of shooters and victims are black. Unfortunately, the news medial does not headline if the victims are black, or Muslim, Only if a white is the shooter of a minority. Wonder why? Probably sells more newspapers or attention on broadcasts.

I honestly don’t know what drives the news media to report that way, but I think it is racist. I don’t what else to call it.

The media seems to cover all shootings by law enforcement if the victim is black. Doesn’t seem to matter the race of the cop doing the shooting (though if the cop was black they do tend to keep that fact on the down low).
It’s always a question of cui bono. The expected mass outrage and violence will fuel further stories. And news is entertainment.
Now, excuse me as I go loot and burn down an Outback.

There is that. To some extent at least it seems to be what happens, but it is still insanely shortsighted. Why do business want to advertise with news organizations which are promoting havoc? Their ratings? CNN? That kind of reporting eventually loses credibility. It is hard to be frightened by people you don’t believe.
Please go easy on the Outback. I may want to eat there some time.
