IT IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE CHILDREN

Because some people supposedly care so much, our nation spends hundreds of billions every year, and we have changed longstanding traditions.  What if the people who care so much really only care about themselves? What if we have spent trillions of dollars and departed from fundamentally sound traditions for the sake of lies?

Here are examples of how much people supposedly care.

Are these “news” stories about caring people? No. These are stories brought to us by shameless purveyors of garbage values posing as caring people.

Where did I get this list of stories? I got it from this editorial.

Transgendered child abuse

Last year, NBC News did a two-part series dubbed “transgender kids,” that featured “the stories of 5-year-old Jacob Lemay and 8-year-old Malisa Phillips, two children transitioning to live as their authentic selves.”

In December, Good Housekeeping wrote an essay detailing a family with two transgender children, both a son and a daughter, who swapped roles. And while the parents “didn’t totally understand it, they knew their love was unconditional.”

In January, National Geographic put a photo of a nine-year-old transgender girl on its cover, simply labeled “The Gender Revolution,” and The New York Times did a report on “Raising a Transgender Child.”

Then in February, Katie Couric profiled families with transgender children for a documentary, and the Huffington Post wrote a column on how “Transgender kids are changing the world.”

The Washington Post followed it up, with a personal essay: “My 7-year-old daughter Henry is transgender. She’d change Trump’s mind,” lamenting President Donald Trump’s decision to rescind Barack Obama’s bathroom executive order.

And then this month, HBO is ran a special called “Trans Youth” which provided “an inside look at the families of transgender youth and how they are coming to terms with the gender identity of their children,” weeks before the Supreme Court’s decision to send the bathroom case back to the Appeals court. (continued here)

The denizens of the news media make their living by reporting on controversy.  Sometimes, to find something controversial to jabber about, they push the envelope. That sounds brave, but what the news media does is not brave. The talking heads just take some idiotic notion seriously and report on it sympathetically.  They even stage “debates,” giving both the pro and the con sides of a dumb idea equal attention and respect.

What if their dumb idea blows up in their faces.  Well, the “brave” people in the news media don’t take sides.  They are just objective reporters of the “news”. On the other hand, if enough of the public takes the idiotic notion seriously, they are just mainstream or “moderate”.

What has this sort of insanity accomplished? Behavior we would have formerly regarded as foolish, sick, or just unfortunate too many now regard as heroic and worthy of imitation.

Is the news media solely to blame for the degradation of our nation’s values? No. For that we owe much “thanks” to our secularized public education system. Unfortunately, instead of learning about our nation’s religious and political traditions and growing to respect those traditions, too many of our public schools teach our children that God does not matter and that government, not God gives us our rights.

Consider. Think about the way the news media wants us regard two homosexual men holding hands in public. “My oh my! They have come out of the closet! How proud they must be to show their love for each other!” Can you imagine sodomizing someone you love? That is healthy and good behavior? Seriously? Yet the news media wants us to regard two men and adopted children as a normal family.

When we were born, we knew almost nothing.  Boy? Girl? These are concepts and physical realities that slowly matured in us. If we were fortunate, our parents and the other adults around us provided us good role models and guided our behavior. If we were unfortunate, the adults around us confused us.  There is nothing righteous about confusing children, but it happens.

Are there sometimes real biological issues with gender? Yes, but don’t expect anything that deep from the news media. A news story about simply fixing what is physically broken is not spicy enough. No. Talking about feelings is so much easier and fun, and making “other people” — everyone — do what we think they ought to do is such a big ego trip.

  1. Amen,Tom! Well said. This is child abuse, flat out.

Something that really helped me to understand the truth was chatting with the truly intersexed, hermaphrodites, people born with genuine challenges. In the olden days, those babies would be rushed to surgery, their gender promptly corrected and the records sealed. Those kids grew up having their gender chosen for them and it’s something many of them now resent. Some of them have spent a life time feeling burdened by their parent’s emotional issues and feelings,as if their own needs as kids were not even recognized. Some came into adolescence and hormones hit and the surgical interventions turned out to have been wrong. Some felt betrayed spiritually, because they feel as if God made them the way they are and that should have just been accepted rather then attempting to transform them into something more socially acceptable. Without fail, most of them felt as if they should have been left alone until their bodies and their brains were mature and developed enough.

Gender is nothing more than a social construct…except when we flip around and declare it to be so firmly rooted in biology that people are born that way. Those are opposing “facts.”

I have to watch myself. I enjoy debate too much. So when you said this, I had to count to ten.

After counting to ten, I looked up the definition. => http://www.dictionary.com/browse/gender?s=t
      😆
Gender and sex are not the same.

      1. LOL! Something interesting to note, “gender” really didn’t become a word until quite recently when some academics needed a word that would allow them to say things like “gender is a social construct.” It was first used in 1955 in relationship to people. Prior to that grammar could have a “gender,” but not humans. But it really did not come into fashion until the 1970’s when feminists seized control of the word.”Sex” is simply biological truth and truth does not lend itself well to distortions. So “gender” was invented so we would have a fancy term for everything outside the context of objective, biological, truth.

When it is nothing more than a social construct, it is wonder that Democrat Liberals are so obsessed with gender — or is it sex? Well, they are definite obsessed with something, whatever it is.

  2. The last time I checked, human gender was still determined by DNA located in X and Y chromosomes. If, as a culture, we allow people to “change” their gender surgically (and we shouldn’t), there should at least be a minimum age–25 years old, for example–to give people time to mature into their real identities before they start trying to change themselves.
Yes, the media pushes the envelope… because it sells. The fact that it sells is sad enough. We like to be challenged; we like to fight back against the powers over us, even and especially against the Ultimate Power who made us what we truly are. J.

That’s a guaranteed losing battle, but some people refuse to understand the foolishness of going up against impossible odds. They cannot even accept the fact God wants what is best for us.

  3. ok, here’s the first red flag with this gobbledygook—if we know, as those of science and medicine claim that we do know, that a child’s brain is constantly growing, forming, maturing until sometime in the second decade of life, how then can those in the know claim that a 5 year child “knows” that he is actually a she and is now fully cognitive and mature enough to claim it’s time to “transition”????!!!!
    Oh the insanity Tom….
you have hit the nail on the head!
And I think this hysteria that is now being passed off as news came into vogue when folks like Phil Donahue and Dianah Shore, those early kings and queens of “talk show” who later morphed to the likes of Oprah, Jerry Springer, etc etc….in some odd way, transitioned themselves into the trusted word bearers of all things life and news….
a dangerous melding which has us seeing stories that are no more news relevant than is a three eyed fish…..

When you call it hysteria, I think you are being too kind.

Neither logic or even hysteria has anything to do with transgendering children. As absurd as it sounds, I think it has more to do with humoring meebots (ColorStorm invented the term, and I borrowed it.) than the needs of children.

Some people are so self-centered that they will happily let you pick “other people’s pockets” so long as you stroke their egos. So long as they are made to feel good about themselves, all is well with the world, even if they are playing a fiddle and burning it down all around them.

What about the children of a meebot? From a meebot’s perspective, their children are glorified pets.

Why do we have pets? Well, some people relate to their pets the way other do their children. Other people have pets for entertainment, adoration, and for the sake of pride. The latter don’t see their pets as having any existence apart from their needs.

Do we have much problem neutering pets? No. What about those little people we call our children? Who except a meebot would treat their child like a pet and have their own child neutered? In fact, who would not consider transgendering a dog a form of animal cruelty? Yet the same Democrat Liberals who complain ferociously about animal cruelty have no problem when they see children transgender. In fact, it sends a thrill up their leg.

      1. Tom you are so on the money—and I do like Colorstorm’s word…cause we are a society of meebots for sure!!!
The analogy of pets to childrens and back again..and as to the easily manipulation we have for both is frighteningly telling…
There is a part of me that thinks Dad got out “while the gettin was good….” as I am most troubled by what the future holds for us….

Getting out while the gettin is good. Sometime I get the same feeling, but our Lord has a plan. We can take comfort in the fact we are where He would have us be, especially if we are seeking to do His will.

Is this a big problem, Tom – people having their children neutered? This is the first I’ve heard of it. And while I have heard of neutering pets, I’ve never heard of a pet being “transgendered.” Neutering domestic animals is a responsible practice. Not at all sure what it tells us about human sexuality, however. And is it possible “to transgender” anyone (perhaps except oneself)?

Since the reason for the post is unambiguous, I don’t see the point of first question. You have not heard of the problem? So? Now you have.

Your last question? Let’s rephrase it a bit. Is it possible for irresponsible adult to abuse a child with hormone treatments and surgery? What’s the answer? Do you actually have to ask?
