Is there a connection between Ezekiel 3:16-27Ezekiel 33:1-7, and Matthew 25:1-13lafayetteangel finds one in W Is For Watchman, and it seems to me an excellent observation.

Ezekiel 3:16-27

16 At the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me: 17“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. Curiously, instead of quoting the text of Matthew 25:1-13,   posts a lovely video. Since Matthew 25:1-13 is a parable, “The Parable of The Ten Virgins,” we are treated to delightful performance of Jesus’ words.

Since Matthew 25:1-13 is a parable, Matthew 25:1-13 can be also be puzzling. For help working your way through this puzzle, please visit Sunday Class Notes: November 17 by Don Merritt.

The video talked about a watchman so… Until you mentioned it I never thought of a connection. I was just thinking of a song that resembled what a “watchman” does. It is amazing how God makes things connect when we don’t think about a connection except by a word..

    1. God is amazing!

We are all like Ezekiel. We are each a son of man and woman. We can all be His prophets. God has given us each a lamp, and He has offered us His Holy Spirit to fuel our lamps.
