Here is a reblog of Merry Christmas from DeHavelle Land.
When I was a student pilot, I learned that any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. That was a joke, but that joke held a note of seriousness. To fly we must risk crashing. Can you imagine how many landings Santa had to make this past year?
May the Christmas cheer at this time of year
Lift you high and ease your loads
Of all faiths and creeds, each of us still needs
To find joy along our roadsFor the folks apart and of broken heart
May quick comfort heal your soul
And may joys of life soon replace your strife
Over things you can’t controlFor the family groups and the far off troops
May the season keep you sound
And may each return bring the love you earn
Love to cushion and surroundContinued here.
Into every life our Creator allows a mixture of joy and grief. We don’t know why. None of us knows why we must suffer. None of us knows why we experience joy. We can just know that the greatest joy is to love and be loved.
