WHAT DO I HAVE TO BE THANKFUL FOR?

It is a quiet, sunny morning. Cold outside, but a long soaking rain has passed. On a holiday, I can sit in the basement in front of my computer, and I can listen as my lady works in the kitchen.

We own our home, and I have a good job. We have some money in the bank. Our children are happily married, and they too love Christ Jesus. Because we know Jesus, we have much to be thankful for.

We can put both the trials of this life and the good times in their proper perspective. When the world is so distracting, it is just not easy to keep our eyes on Jesus and to count our blessings, especially those to come.

Thanksgiving Day Posts From Around The Web

Today is a day to be thankful for what we have and the promise of what is to come. Today we remind ourselves and each other how fortunate we are to worship a Holy God.

May The Lord Grant You A Blessed Thanksgiving Day from Settled In Heaven provides Bible studies on thanksgiving. The Word of God is what we most of all need to review on Thanksgiving Day.

Happy Thanksgiving! from BUNKERVILLE | God, Guns, and Guts Comades! provides a short video review of our Thanksgivings traditions and what we owe our troops.

At altruistico, we focus on prayer. See What should be the focus of Christians on Thanksgiving? and is Why doesn’t the Lord’s Prayer include thanksgiving?

Pastor Davis at VINE AND BRANCH WORLD MINISTRIES.COM offers thanks in a video prayer in LET US PRAY FOR OUR THANKSGIVING BLESSINGS. BE THANKFUL ANYWAY reminds us to be thankful in all circumstances. Even when it is hard, we can remember the blessings that lie ahead. Remember THE LORD WILL FIGHT YOUR BATTLE. ALWAYS BEING THANKFUL FOR GOD’S PRESENCE IN YOUR LIFE.

I Am Thankful (My God is Greater), I Am Thankful (I Have All I Need), I Am Thankful (I Have A Better Kingdom), and provide superbly thoughtful reflections on just how much we have to be thankful for.
