Even though he lost in his attempt to win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination, Mike Huckabee did not fade out of the picture. He is still fighting for Conservative fiscal and social values. Below is an email I received from him yesterday.
Please take a minute now and read this email. We have a tough battle on our hands. Let me make it clear to you, our beliefs are being attacked and we need to fight back and do the right thing.
If we lose ground this fall, I can promise you that your taxes will be higher and that traditional marriage, the second amendment and the sanctity of life will all be under attack. If we lose the Presidency and more seats in Congress, we will feel the effects for generations to come as Senator Obama will nominate activist judges whose values are far from ours. We cannot rest on our laurels this cycle, we need to act now.
Radical groups have been working overtime courting voters and demonizing our ideas in an organized, well funded effort to empower a Democrat President, Democrat House and a Democrat Senate in the hopes of remaking the country. We cannot let that happen.
As Chairman of Huck PAC, I have set a financial goal of being able to contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars to conservative candidates across the country in an effort to COUNTER AND STOP these radical groups. We need your help to do this.
For my presidential campaign, we relied on individuals making small contributions not big time fundraisers and lobbyists, and we stretched a dollar further than any other campaign. Today I ask that you make your first contribution of $10 or more online. We will invest your contribution directly into our candidate support efforts and do so in the most cost effective manner.
My goal for the end of June financial report is to raise an additional $25,000 online. We need your support to continue our vision for a better America. Any setback that we incur this fall will do irreparable damage to the cause. Please consider contributing $10 or more online immediately.
I cannot thank you enough for your continued dedication to our cause.
Fighting for our shared values,
Mike Huckabee

If Mike Huckabee was your presidential candidate, then you may want to contribute funds towards his pack. Money talks. The more money Huckabee has to dole out the more weight he will be able to give to those whose views he represents.
Nobody is perfect. No politician is perfect.
When I looked at Huckabee’s overall record as governor of Arkansas, it seemed to me that he had an overall neutral effect. Taxpayers ended up paying about the same rate at the end as when he started. I can live with that.
Huck is no fiscal conservative. He topped the list for the candidate who would increase the size of the federal budget. I think it was around $45 billion.
If he could have limited his rhetoric on the federal smoking ban, ethanol subsidies, and other unconstitutional programs, I would have shilled for him in a heartbeat. He was our best hope.
