Best Christmas Lights Display

This is cool, it looks like the house is jumping.

As the story goes, the guy that owns this house lives north of Cincinnati, Ohio (Mason, Ohio). Police were constantly being called for traffic jams and accidents in the neighborhood so they asked him to shut it down during certain hours. Instead he started charging by car load to pay off-duty police to be there. The guy is supposedly a real computer GEEK, and in my opinion, also a great decorator! NooneOfAnyImport’s Blog has a post that will leave you puzzled, We Are Here From The Federal Government. The rules businessmen have to “play” by have gotten so complicated you have to wonder why people still bother. Yeah, we have to protect endangered species, but…. Fortunately, just as I was getting depressed, I saw that   had posted this little beauty as a comment.

What’s this lady writing about. Well, given her inability to title it, I would say she venting some justifiable rage, but I suspect her first reaction was disbelief. How could anyone be that stupid? I do not know. However, it is not just a British thing. Stupidity is a universal human accomplishment.

I’m not cut out for blogging breaks.  I’m trying, and I certainly didn’t plan on posting on 9/11, but sheer asininity keeps finding me.  This time it is a Daily Mail article using not just 9/11, but vivid horror of the jumpers of 9/11 to perpetuate the stereotype of Americans as backward religious or patriotic nuts.

The author baldly suggests that Americans are “airbrushing” the jumpers from history because we religious nuts think suicide is a sin, or cowardice.  From original posting, the 10^th, to now, the evening of the 10^th, I suspect the editors at the Daily Mail thought the theory a bit of a reach because they reposted the article under a different title and with a new comment thread.   Regardless, the text is still little more than the author’s suggestion that Americans think the jumpers committed suicide and think less of them for it.   My comments, as usual, in red…. And you have probably seen this one: Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible.

But do you know which nation is second?

It is Iraq !

However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible.

The names used in the Bible are Babylon , Land of Shinar , and Mesopotamia … The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris And Euphrates Rivers .

The name Iraq means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel , has more history and prophecy associated

with it than Iraq.

And also, this is something to think about:

Since America is

typically represented by an eagle.

Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages …

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11 ) – For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle.. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah;

And there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?!

The reference to the Koran, verse 9:11, is a big fat lie. That makes any statement in this email unworthy of our trust.

Snopes.com, for example, calls the reference to Quran 9:11 “FALSE“. Here is one translation of that verse.

But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know. (from here)

Obviously, even a bad translation of verse 9:11 would have nothing to do with eagles.

Why people pass on emails like the above is not hard to understand. The email says what we want to believe. However, just because an email says what we want it to say does not make it true; it just makes it easier to be taken in.

No soldier of Christ Jesus should spread such lies. Lies do not build up His church. Lies cannot strengthen the faith of His people. Therefore, we must verify the content of such a message BEFORE we pass it on to others. When it is so easy, we have no excuse. If you know how to forward an email to your family, friends, and neighbors, you can figure out how to use a Google, Yahoo, Microsoft… search engine. You just have to take the time. Please do so.

Because we live in the midst of The Culture War, all we have to do to offend someone is state a differing opinion. Thus, giving offense has become too easy to be sporting. Nonetheless, we all understand the motivation, vengeance.

With the implication that what they do is relatively worthless, Liberal Democrats offend stay at home moms. When our economic system makes staying at home so difficult, why do feminist busybodies have to add stupid social pressures? Such is their nature; their joy is to offend and manipulate, at least that is the way it seems to me.

Hence I am not surprised NoOneOfAnyImport has some anger to get out of her system — which she does in her post. However, that’s not the part that makes that post interesting. What is particularly good is in the latter half of her post. She speaks of what motivates her to stay at home.

Why do feminists reject the traditional homemaker? Do feminist busybodies hate children? I do not know. There have been times I wished my lady worked outside the home, but I much more prize what my lady gave of herself to our children.

KingShamus tackles the importance of motherhood in this comment, and that’s starts a little debate I wish had lasted longer. Instead of worrying about the best way to offend feminists, we need to disown their solutions. Before we worry about some idiot’s ”ism”, we need to consider what is best for our children.

Have we lost sense of wonder that comes with giving birth, the realization that a child is gift. When we raise children, we mature and gain a better understanding of our own souls. In time we learn the most important things we will ever do we do for our children. With the imprint we leave on a child, we leave our mark. We help to save or damn generations of souls to come.
