WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS?

When I get an alarmist email these days, I do not worry too much anymore. Too many people I would have expected to know better have forwarded me conniving distortions and lies. Fortunately (or unfortunately), under that deluge of sneaky nonsense we all have become more skeptical. Therefore, the last email hoax I received came with a question:  “What do you think of this?”

Here is the text of the hoax.

Obama Puts Heat on Fox News

Remember when we were told to watch Fox News on a Sunday night that was going to air something about Obama and we watched but never saw anything! Well, read below and click on the video to see why it got pulled before it could air

Now we know why Fox News never broadcast it as they had originally planned to. This piece was pulled.
*I encourage you to please send this to everyone on your email list ASAP.*
*Remember all the notices we kept getting to watch Fox News on Sunday at 9PM? What Happened?*
*This is the clip that got pulled due to pressure from the Administration.*
Obama Puts Heat on Fox News to Prevent Sean Hannity from airing this piece.
*This is a video that Sean Hannity of FOX News has been trying to show that we are told has consistently been blocked by the Obama Administration for several weeks. It was a matter of time until the Internet picked it up.*
*Watch it now before it gets pulled from the Internet!*

Forward to as many and as quickly as you can!

Why did I get that question? In my younger days, I would have said I got the question because they respected my hobbyist expertise in politics, but experience has taught me better.

  • I don’t have that much expertise.
  • Even if such expertise exists, we would have to be an expert to recognize the “experts”.
  • I am a not Conservative because I am smart. I just recognize the limits of human wisdom. We don’t have the wisdom to make Big Government work. So I support limited government.

So why did I get that question? I did not ask. I did not want to know. Since many regard me as a right-wing extremist nutcase, the guy who emailed me may have wanted to confirm whether I could be taken in by the email.

Here is how I replied.

Hatchet jobs come from both the Right and the Left.

Because Obama is a Liberal Democrat, I would not be surprised if he has made either his politics or his ambitions his religion, but only God knows his heart. Based upon what he has done as president (ordering drones to assassinate Muslim terrorists, for example), I doubt Obama thinks more highly of Islam than he thinks of Christianity.

I think Obama’s Middle East policy is stupid, not traitorous, but I don’t know how to prove it. I just think that for Democrats ripping Christianity is politically correct and ripping Islam is not. Look at who the Democrats are. That party has survived by creating a coalition of various fringe groups. Yet, quite ironically, they call their opponents extreme. It is really sort of weird, but their unions own our educational system, and most of the news media is invested with Liberal Democrats. So they get away with it.

Keep in mind that whatever Obama believes the Democrats in Congress have supported his policies. And what Liberal Democrats believe is in more and more and more …. government. At least, I see no other way to interpret their behavior. What is their solution for an economy that is crumbling under the load of an absurdly large government? Don’t they propose to fix the problem with still higher taxes and more government spending? Since that makes no logical sense, they must be acting upon an irrational faith in government.

Because human beings are selfish and have limited capabilities, we cannot give anyone — particularly an ambitious man or woman — so much money and power and expect them to buy exactly what we need and to spend no more than is needed. Even if we could find someone we could trust with that much wealth and power, there are 300 million of us. Nobody knows all the needs of that many people. Therefore, government is a suitable solution for small set of limited problems.

When government is needed, because it is closer to the People, local government usually has the best hope of working well.

Anyway, we have tried the experiment of colossally Big Government. It is definitely not working.

Because Democrats want their money and votes, Democrats say nice things about Muslims. Don’t they do the same with homosexuals and baby-killing abortionists? So why should we expect them to behave differently towards anybody else they think might support them?

We don’t like President Barack Obama? We don’t trust him? We think Obama is Muslim? So what? We cannot fix him, and it does no good to demonize and hate him. At best, each of us can only go to the polls and vote for someone who probably will not serve us all that much better.

We elected Obama, and we created the unhappy choices we have before us in this upcoming election. If we do not like our predicament, it is because we are not doing something right. The problem is in the American People and each of us.

Do we still need to study the candidates and vote? Yes. We still have that obligation. Nonetheless, because the problem is in us, we can stop worrying about Obama. It is our own hearts and our own deeds we need to examine. We need to ponder over our own beliefs. We need to ask ourselves what we have done. We need to consider what have neglected to do.

We each need to pray and beg our Lord to help us perfect ourselves.
