WHAT THE BLOGS SAID WHEN BOB MARSHALL ENTERED THE RACE FOR THE SENATE

What happened when Delegate Bob Marshall entered the race for the U.S. Senate? Lots of blogs posted the video below. So I may as well do the same.

The posters of the video included:

In Kaine Strategist Mo Elleithee Outlines State of the Race Following Bob Marshall’s Entry, Blue Virginia tries to explain Marshall’s entry into the race as a positive development for Tim Kaine?

Without providing a link (See Bob Marshall launches senate campaign website.) Rappahannock Republic (No, I never heard of Rappahannock Republic before either.) mentioned and then criticized Bob Marshall’s new website, bobmarshall2012.com. Anyway, I thought Rappahannock Republic will be blacked out to protest SOPA and PIPA funny. Who is going to notice? How do people think shutting themselves up defends their right to speak?

Bearing Drift: Virginia Politics On Demand‘s reached into the gutter with Bob Marshall’s appalling description of disabled children – UPDATED with video of Marshall’s statements. Is there anybody alive who has not said something that people could not misinterpret? Like Governor George Allen, maybe? Nah! It is only Democrats who never make verbal gaffes.

In Bob Marshall to challenge George F. Allen for GOP Senate nod, The Richmonder made a comment that sounds almost objective.

A Marshall v. Allen contest would give Virginia’s political junkies something to talk about. Marshall might even give Allen a contest. It would be a classic battle between a grassroots candidate with lots of activist support (Marshall) versus an establishment candidate with lots of skeletons and corporate money (Allen). I hope Marshall goes through with it. (from here)

Perhaps the picture of popcorn in that post explains J.C. Wilmore’s moment of objectivity.

Frankly, I have nothing against Governor George Allen. I wish all the candidates contesting for the Republican nomination well. Running for public office requires courage, hard work, and personal sacrifice. I just think Allen had his shot as our Senator, and I believe Marshall could and would do a better job.

What changes if we nominate and elect Allen? Not much. Allen represents the establishment. The establishment does not object to the power President Obama and the Democratic Party have acquired. What they want is control. Therefore, because he is the establishment’s candidate, we have little assurance Allen will reverse what President Obama and the Democratic Party have done.

To protect the liberty of our children and grandchildren, we need to elect people who take their oath to support and defend the Constitution seriously enough to do whatever is required. Delegate Bob Marshall has demonstrated that he has that kind of grit.
