Most people just want to keep their neighborhood nice and protect the value of their home. Unfortunately, there are always some people who cannot distinguish the difference between imposing their values on others and protecting their property values.

Anyway, there is a guy just a couple of houses down from my house with a free standing flag pole. Until this story came up, I just thought he had a nice flag pole. Now I think it is great!

A Vet wanted to fly his flag on a real flagpole which he already had in his back yard. He was told he couldn’t. The regs say you can fly one if the pole is attached to the home and if it is approved. The guy went off in a meeting. I don’t blame him.
