In only two areas do Conservatives have a strong presence, commercial talk radio and the Internet. Why these areas. Any business has startup costs. Both radio shows and the Internet have low start-up costs. So if you want to get an alternative point of view, you have to listen to talk radio or venture onto the Internet. Consider how this Internet publication begins.
History is important to study… if you can trust the national media to not withhold key information they don’t want you to see or twist daily news to fit their agenda.
In the last 40 years, there have been nine major surveys of editors and reporters who work for national media. The most they ever voted Republican in a national election was 14%; the more common range has been 4% to 7%.
This is one reason why no matter who wins a political debate, the media almost en masse repeatedly tell you their man won. And most voters who don’t pay close attention will believe them. It’s called coordinated propaganda. (from here)
Or consider this excerpt from a different column.
So why weren’t those legions of hungry reporters set loose on the Obama campaign? Who are the real villains in this story of mainstream media betrayal?
The editors. The men and women you don’t see; the people who not only decide what goes in the paper, but what doesn’t; the managers who give the reporters their assignments and lay-out the editorial pages. They are the real culprits.
Why? I think I know, because had my life taken a different path, I could have been one: Picture yourself in your 50s in a job where you’ve spent 30 years working your way to the top, to the cockpit of power . . . only to discover that you’re presiding over a dying industry. The Internet and alternative media are stealing your readers, your advertisers and your top young talent. Many of your peers shrewdly took golden parachutes and disappeared. Your job doesn’t have anywhere near the power and influence it did when your started your climb. The Newspaper Guild is too weak to protect you any more, and there is a very good chance you’ll lose your job before you cross that finish line, ten years hence, of retirement and a pension. For the most part, traditional mass media news outlets are corporation-owned juggernauts. These organizations are part of the rich elite the Democratic Party loves to decry. For some mysterious reason, these corporate owned news organizations uniformly provide the Democratic Party favorable coverage. That favorable coverage includes not reporting the whole story, the part unfavorable to Democrats.
Do you usually get your news from television? Would you like to know what you have been missing? Then I suggest you read the rest of the story. Go to the Internet. Check out CNSNEWS, WorldNetDaily, newsmax and PajamasMedia. That way you might see more cartoons like this one.
