McCain Campaign Building in Virginia
Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you and your families well and enjoying the dog days of summer. I am busily getting ready for the Republican National Convention and the work that lies ahead to help elect Senator McCain this November.
As I reported to you a few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be elected as a convention delegate for Senator McCain from the 11th District. I was also selected to serve on the Platform Committee, which has the critical task of determining our party’s platform and policies.
Please know that it is my intent to go to Minneapolis and fight hard for a strong energy and national security policy, among other things, that frees us of our dependence on Middle Eastern oil and expands our ability to produce our own energy domestically. Next week I will be sending out a survey via the Lingamfelter Report so that you can provide me with feedback on where you stand on a number of issues such as energy, transportation, illegal immigration, the economy, taxes, and spending. Your input will be invaluable to me as I meet with national party leaders later this month to hammer out a conservative, Reaganesque platform.
On another note, the general election campaign is truly gearing up. I would like to ask you to please commit yourself to protecting America’s future by helping the McCain campaign. Will you please consider volunteering to canvass your precinct for Senator McCain this summer and fall? All you need to do is contact my Aide, Nathan Shrader at event@va31st.com. Nathan will provide you with a registered voter list with addresses for your precinct and all the materials you may need. We will also be happy to talk with you about how you can sign up now to be a poll worker for the McCain team on Election Day-November 4th.
Another great opportunity to help the McCain campaign will be on August 14, when you and your family and friends can participate in a nation-wide series of house parties that will feature a live conference call with John and Cindy McCain. I will have more information for you next week. Please mark your calendars today!
Lastly, I want to close by asking you to carefully consider the words of Senator Barack Obama, which is enough to make any Democrat yearn for McGovern, Mondale, or Dukakis: “My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change it.”
Please call my office at 703-580-1294 today to volunteer to canvass and work a poll for John McCain. If not, the only change we will have with Obama will be the change left in our pockets!
Sincerely,

Virginia House of Delegates
To do what Del. Lingamfelter is asking, you do not have to work extraordinarily hard. He does not want you to annoy people. He justs wants you to talk to your neighbors. The idea is to find out what your neighbors think, encourage them to vote, and to help them find honest answers.
If you want to help, you can also contact the PWCGOP.ORG.

LOL! That IS kind of a funny quote if you look at it purely its grammatical context!
Obama’s soaring rhetoric does not wear well with everyone. Some people find the CHANGE he promises much less believable than he might wish.
Just FYI, Obama never said the quote about trying to change the world.
