Political parties exist largely to nominate and support candidates for public office. This year we have some Federal Government offices to fill. So we have to have some meetings.
Here is the call for a mass meeting and a county convention of the Prince William County Republican Party. Fill out the form and mark your calendar.
NOTICE OF A CALL TO MASS MEETINGS AND A COUNTY CONVENTION OF THE PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY
The Prince William County Republican Convention will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at 10:00 A.M. at Woodbridge High School, 3001 Old Bridge Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m.
The convention will elect the Chairman of the PWC Republican Committee, elect members of the PWC Republican Committee, elect Delegates to the respective 1st, 10th, and 11th Congressional District Republican Conventions, and elect Delegates to the Virginia State Republican Convention.
Candidates for Chairman PWC Republican Committee must file a written statement of candidacy and a $150 fee to PWCRC, Attn: Chairman filing, P.O. Box 1955, Manassas, VA 20108 by 7:00 p.m. on March 1, 2008.
Delegates to the aforementioned conventions must submit a pre-filing form no later than 7:00 p.m. on March 29, 2008 to the above address.
There is a voluntary $10 fee for Delegates to the PWC Convention, the 1st District fee is $5 voluntary, 10th District fee is $15 required, 11th District fee is $20 voluntary for all who intend to vote only for Presidential Elector and National Convention Delegates and Alternates but mandatory for all who intend to vote for District Chairman and State Central Committee members, and the State Convention fee is $35 voluntary. Postmarks do not apply to any filing.
Magisterial District Mass Meetings will be held, only if necessary, on Thursday April 10, 2008 no earlier than 8 PM at the McCoart Government Building, 1 County Complex, Woodbridge, VA.
