Many of the concrete contractors will hire several “legal” immigrants who are listed as “independent contractors”. The crook concrete companies then rent their “Legal immigrant independent contractors” a truck and all the equipment needed to lay concrete. The “legal immigrant independent contractors” then hire the illegal aliens as laborers. Thus, the gringo crook contractors can claim “they” don’t directly hire illegal aliens, their “legal immigrant independent contractors” do. And of course the gringos claim they can’t control their “independent contractors”. Thus, the gringos bid a job for say $12/sq.ft., they sub-contract the job out for say $6/sq.ft. to their “independent contractors” and initially pick up $6/sq.ft. profit. Then they deduct the truck and equipment rentals $2/sq.ft.. And are really only paying $4/sq.ft. The “independant contractors” are responsible for with holding any payroll taxes from the illegal alien’s pay checks…..Yeah Right. The “independent contractors” claim they are subing out the work and aren’t with holding squat. The gov. gets ripped on the taxes (which WE law abiding tax payers have to make-up) and the gringo crook concrete contractors get hugh windfall profits on the backs of the illegal alien “slave labor”. REAL NICE.
