Well, that was stupid. I keep thinking that "support" must mean "vote for", and obviously that's wrong, because Greg is not a delegate to the convention, he doesn't live in the district.

So his "support" will have to be from the sidelines, for whichever way he wants to swing it.

If Greg signed a delegate form for the Clerk nomination, he would still be bound to support all republicans (the form doesn't restrict that support to the specific race).

If I could edit comments, I would. But I can't.

Actually, Greg cannot support the democrat. Greg is a delegate to the convention, which means he SIGNED the delegate form.

And, while Greg was falsely accusing others of false statements on their form by signing without being registered (the forms don't require you to be registered), the form signature DOES indicate the signee will support the republican nominee.

So assuming that most of BVBL's readers are Lucas supporters, and are going to the convention to vote for her, and have signed that form, they CAN'T vote for Jeff Dion, or else they will have submitted "false statements" on thier forms.

And Greg wouldn't allow that -- in a recent post I can't link to because he won't let me read his site, Greg lamented that he couldn't throw people in prison for lying on the form.

Of course, it could just be that a lot of democrats are reading and posting to BVBL.

I don't know, Tom. How many people who would defend Gill are banned from accessing Greg's site?

Maybe a better question, how many readers of Greg's site are the same person?

I ran a poll asking my readers who they would support should Faisal win the nomination and face off against Jeff Dion. With 94 votes, 65% of BVBL readers said they would support Democrat Jeff Dion.

That should make Republicans shudder. This is largely the republican base weighing in here, and if the base would abandon Gill in a general election like this, it almost assures that anyone the Democrats eventually nominate would be heavily favored to win in the general election.
