A perspective from Gainesville, Virginia on the regime of “change”

Gil Trenum’s Campaign Web Site is Up and Running

campaign.pngGil Trenum has taken another small step in his quest to become the Brentsville District’s next representative on the School Board. He has launched his campaign website (here).

These days a website is a practical way to introduce yourself to a great many voters for a small cost. So now even candidates for the School Board can have a web site.

Gil’s website is elegantly simple; it also shows that he took the time to study other campaign websites. Instead of being slick or showy, Gil concentrates on the essentials.

On his home page, he briefly introduces himself and summarizes the themes of his campaign. He reminds visitors that the election is on November 6, 2007 (always nice to have your supporters show up at the polls).

Because of the economy of detail, Gil should not have much difficulty keeping his website up to date. There are only five more pages.

  • About Gil – a brief biography.
  • Issues – position statements on overcrowding, support for teachers, budget challenges, technology application, student health, and support for school choice.
  • News and Events – this is the part of the website that will require routine updates.
  • Contributions – an address to send money.
  • Contact Us – suitable for both volunteers and folks with a question.

Parents, students, and teachers will find Gil’s background and position on the issues acceptable. Check out Gil’s web site (here).
