Here is the latest on upcoming PWC GOP conventions and nominations from Chairman Kopko. Congratulations to Chris Royce.
Dear Friends,
Here are some updates you will surely appreciate:
- Woodbridge Supervisor convention: WILL NOT be held as only one candidate filed by March 17, who therefore automatically becomes the GOP nominee. So, CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRIS ROYSE as our official Republican candidate in the November election for Woodbridge Supervisor! Check out www.ChrisRoyse.com
- Clerk of Court convention: WILL be held on May 19 as two candidates filed for the nomination by March 17, Michèle McQuigg and Lucy Beauchamp.
- School Board Endorsements: six candidates provided 3- to 4-page responses to the Committee’s questionnaire. These were made available to voting members only on March 16. Members should use the same URL to obtain a minor update posted earlier today. Voting to endorse, or not, is at the March 26 meeting for voting members.
- Coles Supervisor Primary: I am pleased to have announced late last week that, instead of seeking this seat to directly vote in support of the GOP’s agenda of Controlled Growth and Transportation Solutions at the BoCS, I will remain your Chairman to continue building on that citizen-demanded vision as well as the unity and strength of the Pr. Wm. Republican Party.
Reminder: County-Wide Candidate Forum Mar. 25. Invite.Bring.Recruit your friends for this informative event. You can help expand the GOP!
Lastly, though it is only March with nomination contests underway, please just remind yourself of the electoral victory process of Prince William’s “Team GOP”:
- Joint Voter I.D. Spring & Summer through September (think of events!)
- Joint Campaigning. October (think of sign locations!)
- Joint Get Out The Vote (GOTV) through November 6! (think victory!)
Lastly, please pray for at least unfrozen precipitation for our March 26th meeting!
Warm regards,
Chairman, Pr. Wm. County Republican Committee (PWCGOP.org)
